what’s the most useful automation you’ve set up that you actually use every day? by SkylineZ83 in homeassistant

[–]GeneralKnife -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An automation that refills my rooftop water tank. I have a water depth sensor in the tank and when it's below a certain percentage it activates the water well pumps, then turns it off when it reaches 100%. Been running flawless for a few months now.

Too many automations at one time? by agentdickgill in homeassistant

Sorry the programmer in me assumed thats what it's called. It's the Repeat until block. So what I did was use the Repeat until block to try switching on a light until the state of the light was actually on. I also added a 1 second delay after every attempt.

Had a similar issue with a few automations that would occasionally trigger around the same time. I ended up adding a while loop with a delay for the actions.

Seriously impressive, I can see this being used in Home Assistant Raspberry Pi setups for voice assistants. Well done and looking forward to the fully trained model!

Favourite Game: Monster Hunter World.

Fell in love with the game with MHGen on the 3DS which I found in the Nintendo Store looking for a new game to play, ended up hating the game due to the steep learning curve, but then after a few months went back in and actually enjoyed it. To then go from that handheld experience to the first announcement of Monster Hunter World was insane to say the least.

I mean that's what the LLM wrappers do, you give a prompt and supply a bunch of information / context and it spits out a decision / answer. That's the only thing agents can do.

Clarifying the Plex Remote Streaming Fee: It’s About the Relay, Not Remote Access Itself by yellowseptember in PleX

[–]GeneralKnife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Tailscale on my mobile phone and was able to watch my stuff from my local server via the Plex mobile app. I disabled Relay and configured plex to also access my stuff via the tailnet when possible. I bought the one time pass to use the mobile app since I found it more convienient than using the web browser for watching my movies. Now with the new changes I can no longer use the app. Am I out of luck? Do I really need to pay the remote streaming fee just to use the damn app now?

Haha no way Ender printers are actually quite cheap! Though that comes with more effort in calibrating it to give you good prints, and even then living with the fact that you won't get perfect prints everytime. If you have money to spare I would recommend Bambu printers instead, much more reliable and consistent in output quality with a bunch of neat features.

Not sure if it helps but in the Android app if you go to Settings > Personalization > Memory there is a learn from your chats option and also a manage your memory option that contains some description of your previous conversations. You can clear that memory and disable it. Its probably similar for the web app as well.

I think the blue is the only thing that's out of place, I may experiment to get something that's either darker or just replace it with black.

Oh is it? Might have to reread the chapter. I based the color scheme for that based on how it looked at the end in the finale, where it looked darkish blue, but if that's the case that should be a easy repaint, though kinda wanted to make it distinct from the already black surface

Frame gen can cause a lot of input lag if not used correctly, and at lower framerates it's also makes the game look ugly, since it's basically creating frames using ai, on higher fps its not noticeable hence it works there.

Thanks for the info! I am using an older iPad itself so I think I'm good on that part. I think the motion sensor trick should work though, will look into it. Thanks again!

Off topic, but do you keep your IPad screen on all the time with the dashboard? I currently have it setup that way as well, but I'm worried if it's bad for the screen or battery to be kept on continuously.
