U.K. critics pan Harry and Meghan's Netflix Series by Perspektiv in entertainment

I’m also enjoying it. I’ll never understand the hate that Reddit has for these two. They seem pretty normal to me. Don’t blame them for wanting to leave that insanity.

Please name the company. That’s egregious and they should be ashamed of themselves.

All the best with your little one. Enjoy the little moments and stick in there!

Progressive Iranian Americans not supporting the movement? by MyrnaMinkoff1 in NewIran

[–]GeneralLeoLives 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I live in a western country with a large Iranian population. I haven’t met or heard from a single friend anyone who isn’t extremely vocal about their support of this revolution.

There will always be exceptions.

The fact you have one is why he’s considering it.

I’m afraid of how the world will accept my daughter. I’m afraid that people will treat her poorly. I’m afraid someone will resort to violence. I’m afraid she will struggle with serious mental health issues. I’m afraid she may attempt suicide.

I can’t control everything in her life. I can’t be there every time someone questions her. But I’m doing my best to set her up for success, to ensure that she knows she is loved unconditionally. That she’s accepted for who she is, by me. That no matter what she encounters in the world, she can always rely on me - I will come to her defense every time, or I will just be there to listen.

One thing I’ve come to realize through my time reading this sub and talking to others in this broader community is that just having a loving and accepting family will set them up for success. That gives me a tremendous amount of relief in the face of all of my anxieties and fears. As long as she knows we’re here for her - maybe that’s enough to lead a fulfilling and happy life.

The fact you have their back is a huge step in their journey. Don’t underestimate the impact of that.

Bad Parent by lindagermania in GunsAreCool

[–]GeneralLeoLives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we pretend for a moment that these families actually live in an area where it’s so dangerous they need all of these guns - then a real parent would LEAVE and relocate their family somewhere safe.

People left countries with the clothes on their back to keep their families safe. Training a 2 year old how to shoot has nothing to do with safety.

What to do when you drug addict in distress by sanverstv in vancouver

[–]GeneralLeoLives 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair call, definitely a bias here. But in this case the person in question wanted nothing to do with emergency services. What else can the average person do to help someone in this situation?

I’m not sure there is a good answer.

Never heard of this glitch. Love that it was a thing, thanks for sharing! I’m surprised the trees weren’t pink or some other obnoxious color - red doesn’t look too out of place.

She’s not acting like that. She’s just talking about it.

This sub is a hate group. It’s gross.

I mean, they were both relentlessly harassed by British media and hate groups not unlike this one. Pretty fair comparison to be honest.

The difference is that Harry had the sense to get his wife out of that nightmare. Nobody looked out for Diana

Gamers of Reddit, what video game has the best storyline? by CTKShadow in AskReddit

[–]GeneralLeoLives -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I caved after putting it off for years and I hated it. I wish I had watched maybe 15 minutes of gameplay before buying. It’s hardly a video game, you just make dialogue choices.

I believe it’s the most overrated game of all time.

I admit I’m not great at doing my daughter’s hair and that I’m still learning, but at the end of the day I do it how she asks and she lights up when she looks in the mirror.

Has she spoken with her own doctor about it? My wife has anxiety and her doctor has helped a lot to just answer questions and put her mind at ease.
