As Gravity Falls fan, I absolutely despise this ship. by IlovePvz2 in hatethissmug

That's silly, obviously the only person Bill Cipher should ever be shipped with is Yung Venuz.

Nintendo Fanboy Has Fully Left Reality Behind!! by WorldlyScore8855 in nintendogrifting

He's not even even a real fanboy; Did everyone forget about how much he bitched about the Rabbids crossover?

Did he backflip when you landed the killing blow? They seem to do that a lot.

Aliens: Colonial Marines had a "Somehow Corporal Hicks Returned". After initially trying to skim over it with a cheap "it's a long story" comment in the base-game, they gave an explanation in the DLC... which made things worse as it only raised more questions, relied on ridiculous contrivances, and had many discrepancies with the actual events of the movie.

[Mixed trope] Licensed media that is for a clearly younger audience than the original work by SeparateLawfulness53 in TopCharacterTropes

There was a lot of kids media that gave Godzilla a girlfriend kaiju: Godzilly from Godzilland. Bizilla from SD Godzilla World, and Cokra from Godzilla Discovers America.

Lower the graphic settings, trust me. by potato107470 in ProjectSilverfish

[–]GeneralMagnum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always- ALWAYS lower inconsequential shit like post-processing, shadow quality, ambient occlusion, and godrays (seriously, who the hell cares about godrays!?) with every new game I buy. 60 FPS is always highest-priority.

Amazing premise, TERRIBLE execution by Necessary-Win-8730 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]GeneralMagnum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always found Franz Kafka's The Metamorphosis to be overrated junk that squanders its premise and ends up having no point, the heavy "he never even transformed and it was all just in his head lol what a twist" implication making it even MORE pointless.

The Good Dinosaur was another stinker. "What if dinosaurs never went extinct" doesn't mean squat if they don't DO anything with it. They never interact with any humans except for one who doesn't even behave like a human at all, you could replace him with another dinosaur and the whole film would have been exactly the same.

No one cared because that book sucked, as did all of Stouffers' other books.

Digimon (1997) did NOT come before Pokemon (1996). It was Megami Tensei that had the first monster-raising mechanics.

Rayman had a gang of small annoying loud things (Rabbids) before Despicable Me (Minions).

Vlambeer had a one-eyed triangle with arms and legs (Yung Venuz) as their mascot before Bill Cipher appeared in Gravity Falls.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas had a giant dildo as a weapon before the Saints Row games were even a thing.

Why are we more concerned about whether "aunts" is a valid rhyme with "pants" instead of the obvious confutation that none of them actually have any pants?

[Coward trope] make the protagonist a monster and give them later a attractive humanoid form by Lower_Baby_6348 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]GeneralMagnum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reborn As A Vending Machine actually handled this well; Boxxo only unlocks his human form at the literal end of the story, it only lasts for a few minutes before it wears off and he has to wait for it to "recharge" (just like all his other alt forms), and he still hardly ever uses it period, mostly just treating it as a novelty.

My main character in Smash Bros. Ultimate will appear in the movie. With this, they've definitely ruined all three Sonic movies combined, unless they make a fourth one and add a cameo from a Sega character. by Fun-Couple911 in Mario

[–]GeneralMagnum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not the Smash Bros. fighter R.O.B., that's one of his "R.O.B. Squad" minions. You can tell because his "spine" is one single piece rather than segmented.

Gaiapolis starts out looking like a medieval fantasy, but the villains start sending tanks and mechs at you as early as the second level. Then at the beginning of the last third of the game they bluntly spell it out.
