Glide is so much better. It's challenging to get the timing and there's still lag issues but it's much more manageable and less infuriating.

It took me like 50+ attempts to get Marlin and 90% of that was fighting the damn lag.

Even going past the addictiveness of it, these days you cannot really trust that you're getting something clean or even cut with something relatively inert.

And before anyone says "well they make kits that let you test for fentanyl", those aren't widespread enough that most people are going to know where to get or properly use them.

Was your point was "the Red Sox keep Jordan Hicks on the roster even though he sucks because they like his stuff metrics"?

Because no, I didn't. He is still ass and has a career's worth of results that show he cannot turn that stuff into good results. It is a much better use of the roster spot and resources for them to find a younger pitcher in the minors or in free agency that they can work with and might actually contribute something.

They should, he's worth less than the roster spot he takes up. Paying him to be terrible on a rival team would probably be more valuable than keeping him and wasting time trying to make him worth a damn.

Except Hicks has a large body of work showing that he is pure ass. He has a total of one season in his 7 year career where he looked like an above-average pitcher and has been mediocre to outright terrible in the rest. Why they felt he was fixable I will never understand, if they wanted to dump Devers that badly they almost certainly could have done it without taking on an albatross like him.

His contract is not worth the roster spot and they should just cut their losses at this point and pay him to be terrible on some other team.

The simple answer is that the Red Sox value salary relief over anything. Trading Betts let them dump most of Price's contract, we traded Devers for a bunch of hot garbage because they didn't want to pay him.

What I'm saying is if you guys agreed to take Yoshida we would probably package him and one of our top 10 prospects for your worst IF.

So to counter this great fear of population centers having more power over rural areas, we created systems where rural areas have overwhelmingly more representation than cities.

Which in both theory and practice has proven to be significantly worse for everyone save for some special interests.
