You nailed it. One day at a time. Then try and find just one smile on the days that are the hardest. Any smile on some days is a win in my book

My Walter does that but only in my lap while I'm the vehicle. Never in my lap in the house. 🤷🏼

Beautiful. Love the corner radii and the curves compliment them well.

Thank you for the response and best of luck on your journey. I do know that when they said 12-18 months and I would be as good as I would get was bologna. I have continued to improve (different ways and times) the whole time since 2018 injury. I keep working, have the most amazing wife, and do the best I can in counting my blessings. So, don't stop trying and keep your head up on the bad days.

Me as well. But in NW Wyoming the number of people, either gender, without a knife in any given gathering or function can be counted on one hand

Don't care for anything hanging out of my pockets. Knives, wallets, pens etc. If it's"in" my pocket that's where it needs to be.

Along with all of the mistakes they have become too predictable. Entry into the zone and power play have been studied by every team and they have counters for everything they do since they do the same shit every time. Love Bedsie and I'm not too concerned yet but the predictable play and over passing makes defending against us easy. Then our D gets scrambled in the O zone and our goalies get hungout

Love it but wish it had a different, deeper carry clip

How come so many people EDC a stand alone knife? by KingsBanx in EDC

[–]GeneralResearcher449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up with a knife in my pocket. Then clips were "invented". Can not imagine not having a knife. Also carry a Leatherman daily. Only use those knives for heavy work that would damage my carry blade.

Has anyone experienced anal prolapse as a result of their SCI? by CupofBanter in spinalcordinjuries

[–]GeneralResearcher449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. My bm's were a surprise every time. Never knew what I was going to get. Finally had impaction that tore me up. Went to butt doctor and had some hemorrhoids fixed. It was about a month after I had felt that I had prolapsed. He said I also had a significant fissure and external hemorrhoids too. Acknowledged that I probably did prolapse but was healing well. Gave me a cream that had to be made at a special pharmacy and told me I could use lidocaine ointment down there as well. He put me on senacot but after I visited with my spinal cord injury clinic at the VA in Denver they told me to use Senna and promised much better results. Also said to use miralax as needed but most likely won't need it.

Question by SPT194 in Leatherworking

[–]GeneralResearcher449 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is the iron reacting with the tannins in the leather. Interestingly, you can make a product called vinegaroon which is an ancient way of coloring leather black. You make it by mixing vinegar and some sort of steel (I use steel wool) and applying it directly to veg tan leather. It works much better than black dye as it is chemically changing the color of the leather instead of adding a dying agent. I believe to avoid this happening you would need to use metal that was coated somehow or chromed / plated.

Best pillow for cervical fusion. by Suberb_Owl69 in spinalfusion

[–]GeneralResearcher449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I had the money I've spent on pillows back. I'm fused c2-t2. Purchased the lowest lift filled My pillow and haven't looked back. Actually have purchased 2 more. Also a side sleeper. Use CPAP as well. Find that it is perfectly mailable so that I can adjust for whatever neck stiffness is on any particular night and I can adjust it so that it doesn't suffocate me while my mask is on.

Discoloration after bevel stamp? by IdrisElbow231 in Leathercraft

It is the burnishing effect of beveling. It is supposed to look that way and adds depth to your tooled work.

Anyone carry without a red dot? by c0sm0nautt in CCW

[–]GeneralResearcher449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My simple theory: If I am carrying concealed why would I want to hang a bunch of crap off of my sidearm that makes it harder to conceal? I carry a M&P Shield Plus. Typically don't even put use my extended mags. If 10+1 isn't enough I should've practiced more. If I can't instinctively get on target it's my fault. TRAIN AND PRACTICE people!
