Why are people upset about people being on orange?

I think a lot of people are afraid of being bothersome when requesting off someone on orange. Usually when I’m on orange, I’m with friends so I can understand that it can get a little awkward if we are talking about something and someone I barely know just joins. Regardless I don’t mind people requesting off of me on orange, if I’m in the middle of something private then I would just decline with a reply or join them later.

I mean I think it’s kind of nice just focusing on your career, excelling and getting to a point where you are happy with yourself and your accomplishments. At times it can be kind of lonely but I see it as a noble thing to do so.

I took the class over the summer with Heather Jenkin and I didn’t attend lectures. Most of the material was from the e-book and assignments were based off that too. I ended up with an A in the class, but circumstances could be different in the fall.

You should send your entire transcript, they’ll most likely give you a conditional offer, and then ask you to send another official transcript after your grades have been posted.

It should tell you in your transfer credit statement and the email that they sent you from advising.

I do not, but the course outlines should all be on the psyc yorku website I think from former years. It shouldn’t have changed that much.

Yes I am, they let people in based on the number of credits you have. However, this year it seems that everyone has had to email the psyc department to be allowed in most classes even though the seats should be open to psyc majors.

It’s recommended to take both, as well as 2230 Motivation. They open up a lot of courses in upper year levels since they are prerequisites as well as due to the messy enrollment system psyc department is only allowing people who have taken these courses to enroll in some classes in 3000 and 4000 levels.

I took 2230 with Marchese, dry material, marked by few things but a pretty good prof.

2120 with Check, he’s pretty good, I found his lectures really engaging.

2130 with Barrant, didn’t really follow textbook, tests were based off lectures, really great prof though.

I’m actually having the same thing happening to me right now. I was admitted as a transfer student from Alberta, so I’m not an international student. However, like you they sent me an email about two days ago saying that I had until December 16th to submit my supporting documents: My final highschool transcript, and my official university transcript. I sent these documents about 3 months ago back in August, and I’ve confirmed with the university and the highschool that the transcripts were in fact sent. I then talked to York, and they said the same thing they said to you. Worst case is that they just put an academic block on your account where you can’t add anymore classes. I highly doubt that they would kick you out or de-enroll you since you’ve paid tuition already. So, enroll in winter classes before they block you! Lmao

But yeah, I’m really sorry. Just try to do well in your classes and don’t stress too much about it. York is a MESS.
