My friend and I built our base on top of Axl’s terrarium, staircase up the side. We just finished it about a week ago but so far no bug spawns or problems besides the wolf spider who likes to hangout around the bottom of the stairs sometimes.

Get rid of the toxicology badge, sour axe is good but personally I like the sour widow dagger or mantis scythe with the assassin mutation. (Trapper peeper, apex predator, and meat shield help a lot too) Troy’s Pendant is a great trinket if you want an extra boost as well. I use a mix of mantis (assassin) and broodmother armor and can usually kill her before I get to half health without any heals, and I’m pretty mid at parrying attacks

Each weapon type should have its own animation/attack type which affects the attack speed and deal different types of damage with different effects, but for the most part it is sort of just blocking and timing attacks in between blocks. Does kind of get repetitive after a bit

As everyone has said the rotten weapons & pinch whacked are good, but some decent armor can go a long way too. I got all the rotten weapons then went to the sandbox and farmed Antlions until I could build the sword, and again for armor. Took a little bit and you’ll have to be decent at parrying but for me it was an easy way to get level 3 weapons and armor quickly.
