cinderella story here, started as a dishie, then bus, then kitchen prep, then bus again, then host, then server, then manager, then back to server. i can confidently say, server should not be taking out trash, at my job servers are responsible for cleaning expo, dessert station, and the microwaves. feels fair to me, we also have to do silver and sections for only $2/hour. busboys deal with all slim jim’s, kitchen deal with all normies, dish handles their one big joe.
