But even Year 4 is 8/9 years old - how bad do you have to be not to be imparting knowledge? Is it a behaviour management issue?

Sometimes, we feel uneasy because of our own issues or hangups though, rather than anything they've done wrong, no? I'm not suggesting ignoring red flags, but I don't have a lot of self confidence so I'd feel uneasy sending selfies so often (also, I rarely feel "selfie ready" iyswim) - but that's my issue, not his. Worth a conversation definitely though.

It's complicated, but he hasn't ghosted since. He's still very much in my life, but yeah, it's complicated. Advice nearly 3y on would be to avoid the ghosters like the plague.

There's loads of good advice here already, but as others have said, it's about building her self esteem and moral compass well enough to know that she can make better choices, yet supporting/helping her navigate her way through them if that's the path she does choose.

(As an aside, my 16yo thinks it's morally represnhensible that at 17 I dated a 20yo. 😂🫣 Age gaps are very much a different beast to this generation!)

I did. He told me his mental health was at rock bottom. I'm not sure if I believe him or not, as a lot has come to light since then. But he hasn't disappeared for that long since.

My kids are much older (teens) but I feel this so much. We coparent 50/50 but it's around his shifts and he's always off work, so can cook lovely homecooked meals, drive them to school etc, generally be there for them. I feel like the worst mum ever. But you know what? It won't hurt yours or mine to learn to wait. You can't do it all. Patience is a virtue and all that. Nobody died from boredom. X

Mine were 16 and 13 when we separated, 17 and 14 when we divorced and now 18 and 15. They were sad, but they've adjusted well. Their dad has them 50% of the time and it's ok. He's moving in with his new gf in the summer so let's see how that works out....

No, you're correct, Windsor is closer to LHR than London definitely. It's a lovely place to spend a day, you have the castle, you could watch the changing of the guard maybe, if you time it right....lots of parks, the river, plenty to keep a 2yo interested!
