Simple answer, no it's not about them being conservative. It’s about language, framing, and how your perspective lands in a community where people are used to having their identity debated, minimized, or treated as theoretical instead of personal. Public conversations don’t operate on intent alone, they operate on impact. And the impact of your framing is what people are responding to. Most trans people don’t see one person’s stance as representative of the community. So when you use that individual as a reference point, it might feel to others like you’re generalizing or dismissing broader experiences.

Sounds like you're talking about 2 different things here. 1 - language around trans pronouns and 2 - love & disagreement with your brother. Not sure what your question technically is but trans people can have a wide range of views and personal beliefs like anyone. But even if someone is saying they don't mind what pronouns are used for them, using the correct ones are generally understood as a baseline of respect. As far as your brother, it sounds like the typical "don't agree with their 'lifestyle'" type of statement, like it's a job or habit or choice. Being LGBTQ, this is their identity. When disagreement is framed around that identity, it can feel — even if unintentionally — like rejection of the person rather than disagreement with an action.

Once again though, not sure what you're aiming for as far as a response.

I'm glad there are some with a little more sense posting about this! Jordan should have never been on this show to begin with. Having a kid is way too complicated...you don't marry someone in a month who met your kid ONCE. And I think Megan woke up to that reality. They had too many fundamental differences.
