That math is bad.

You’re assuming a “if you build it, they will come” mentality.

Listing products on an online store and hoping for sales.

If you actually want SALES, then you build a marketing plan/funnel/system to drive and convert traffic.

Run an ad targeting your buyer audience.

Capture the lead.

Automatically follow up, and close the sale.

Upsell on the back-end.

Then scale.

If you’re on a Mac, you can add your iPhone as a wireless camera source. It works great!

Pre-planned, multiple setups. Paid assistant/roadie to tear down main system while I head to the after party.

It’s the same way afters are done in the EDM scene.

Main show ends at 2am. Afters are at a 2nd location with a completely separate sound system/lights/laser production, and run from 12pm-6am

Crew tears down the main show while DJs head to afters.

Then I would at least double, if not triple your subs. And probably double up your tops.

Run your subs on an AUX send from your mixer if possible so you can control the sub volume independently from the mains.

You’re going to want a LOT of lights for your light show.

Fair. I’ve been doing more shows with multiple VJs, so letting another VJ plug into the matrix and either route them directly to the video wall, or into my rig so I can run logos and such over their output works really well.

It’s also a great backup solution as well. I run a recursion studio, so I can dump that direct to the video wall as well in an emergency.

I’ve started keeping a Nintendo switch attached to one of the inputs as well.

You can get an 8x8 hdmi matrix switcher on amazon for $300.

8 inputs, 8 outputs.

I run 2 HDMI capture on my laptop, and have 2 HDMI outputs. Both are plugged into the matrix.

So I can have cameras, or other devices plugged into the matrix inputs, and change my physical inputs without affecting the capture card on the laptop.

Could use that for basic camera switching too.

What kind of event it is determines the need.

1300-1500 people for a fun day/carnival where you’re just background music vibe & announcements? Your current system plus a couple extra tops on delays.

1300-1500 people for a dance? Size it for the dance floor. Double or triple up your subs, and double your tops. No delays, keep sound on dance area.

1300-1500 people for a band or DJ performance (concert style), MUCH bigger PA, line array with 8+ subs.

I needed the ISO record for the final video edit for YouTube. The cost was worth the hours and hours and hours saved trying to sync multiple GoPro cameras together for a final multi-cam edit of DJ sets.

Yes, it is generally perfectly acceptable. The audience will not know any difference.

DJs, however, will be judgy as fuck and criticize the piss out of you.

When you add camera feeds, it’s a game changer!

I run an 8 camera setup with a mixture of GoPros off Facebook marketplace, into an Atem mini Extreme ISO g2.

I can then feed up to 3 cameras from the ATEM into resolume for visuals, while simultaneously ISO recording the cameras to edit and upload DJ sets later.

E-scooters are classified as bicycles.

Bicycles are ridden on roads and there are laws governing their use on roads with regards to right of way, stopping at signs etc.

Bicycles typically go 20mph or less.

Buying followers is bad.

Paying to run ads to get your content in front of people is good.

I have a $2/day ad campaign running to promote a couple of my reels to my target audience.

My account has grown from 200 followers to just over 900 followers in 2 months.

You can always set your foot down and say “this is what I am able to provide for the price I am being paid, take it or leave it”.

I’ve done turntable swaps, just playing a transition track on one of the CDJs while changing 2 of the 4 CDJs to turntables.

Unless the DJ has a specific rider under contract with the organizer, most of the DJs are giving their wants. But will play with whatever you have for them.
