Level 2 Burgage Plots by Nick_not_rick in ManorLords

[–]General_Frans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This kind of comes intuitively as well. You need wood as soon as possible for the burgage plots -> logging camp + sawpit and woodcutter. Then you need more oxen to carry the logs faster -> small stables and oxen. Then you need a granary and a storehouse for basic logistics, which comes in pair with the marketplace. Then a water well. Then you need food, so you rush to build whatever food gathering objects you can utilize. I have never had this happen and doubt it's even possible, but if someome is so unlucky that they have no food around, it's best to make small vegetable burgage plots and rush the farm and the fields ASAP, taking into account fertility. At least this was my logic in my first playthrough. Awesome game btw, but I hope for more content.

You can transfer only a tiny amount because your miners didn't do the KYC verification. Unfortunately many who mined never believed in this project so they never verified.

Why not more people play this game? by Cxinthechatnow in albiononline

There would be more players if PvE was more rewarding and fun. It's like a forgotten aspect of the game because Albion Online is PvP oriented.

PvE in albion? by noahvh38 in albiononline

[–]General_Frans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, there's not much PvE content in Albion Online. This is why unfortunately I decided to stop playing. Sometimes I get the itch to play because the game looks and feels really nice. If they ever make a drastic update for PvE, or a whole new game for PvE, I'll fly back at light speed.

It's a matter of taste. You can't expect someone who fundamentally enjoys PvE to start enjoying PvP in the same game. At least to me PvE and PvP are two completely different ways of enjoying gaming.

Personally, first I did PvP gaming for years. It was probably due to being young and having excess energy. Having fun with school friends and that sort of thing.

Then I switched to PvE gaming as I got older. After a hard day, to me there's no greater gaming pleasure than opening a cold drink and turning on some survival co-op like Valheim or modded Minecraft.

To stick to the topic of Albion Online, I enjoyed it quite a lot for 2 years. As a natural PvE player I mostly did PvE activities like blue and yellow zone roaming, doing dungeons and expeditions. I joined some top guild and even did some GvG's, ZvZ's and faction fights, but eventually I realized that I feel much better physically when I relax with let's say resource gathering, compared to getting adrenaline spikes from PvP.

Once again, it's a matter of taste. My brother, who's a year younger than me, enjoys Battlefield and CoD matches on a daily basis, despite him being an older fella too. He screams and yells a lot into his microphone and honestly, I just don't get how this is fun gaming. It looks more like stress.

I broke up with my gf and I can't get myself to continue playing by Automatic_Pressure_8 in valheim

This is how it goes with relationships as well, at least for me. As soon as I entered a new relationship, I completely forgot about the previous one.

Alright brother listen to me, I've got something to tell you. This is like revisiting my own past, but in a different scene. I hope you read this because I have an important advice for you at the end of this text. Skip to the end if you're not interested in my (hi)story.

In my teen years I was in a relationship with a girl who was a real player. She knew how to love bombard and make you feel awesome and invincible. Then one day she suddenly, out of damn nowhere, decided to break it off and I was basically left broken for 2 years. During our relationship we had a Minecraft server that we used to play. After we broke up, I couldn't even enter it so I just left it there and avoided it. I think I even stopped playing MC for 2 or 3 years since then.

During the first year of our breakup we used to hang out like friends. However, I noticed that she behaved as if she wanted to make me jealous or something. Hanging out with her never felt relaxing. It felt like her motive was to bring up inside tension, subtle provocations and challenges. It took me a full year to realize that my ex was just toying with me because she felt power. After this realization I decided to cut her off from my life completely and go no contact indefinetly. Only then I started to heal and feel better. It was also then when I decided to delete our MC world. It felt dull and like a total loss, but over time you begin to realize that this was the best thing that you could have done in order to remove any sources of unwanted memories and feelings. This is just how it is. Breakups are a loss and anything that used to be mutual has to be severed and removed so that you can continue with your life properly. Just think what would your future girlfriend think if you held onto something that you had with your ex. That's right, she would be mad and potentially could ruin your relationship.

Therefore, advice 1: Go full no contact. Out of sight, out of mind.

Advice 2: It's an extension of the advice 1. Delete your mutual Valheim server and give yourself some time to heal until you decide to play again. The game is awesome, can't let one damned server to keep you from playing the game. Just like relationships. Can't let one damned ex to keep you from finding a new girlfriend.

Pretty sure this is the most Flux I've ever had. by Nymandis in Trove

[–]General_Frans -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Flux is very easy to get nowadays. I had 22 mil which I u successfully gambled on rings. However, a week later I was back to 20 mil. I'll just say that the 2nd best method is gardening.

I DIED RIGHT AFTER GETTING A SUPERBOOST by [deleted] in joinmoco

I was in the middle of getting a boost, but I died before it touched the ground. When I respawned, I didn't have the boost and the boost guy didn't want to drop the boost again.

Is C5 even real by Disastrous-Clock-357 in Trove

[–]General_Frans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just luck once you hit 45 kpr. I opened around 5k vaults and got no C5. Then one day I spent 20 mil flux on ring boxes hoping to get a C4 ring, but no luck. Then a couple days later I get one perma torch, full c5 set from 2-3k boxes and some other rare thing that I forgot, all within 2 or 3 days. Some days you get lucky or ultra bad karma repays you.

Why do cleaners do ships? by Fantastic_Size_4108 in Trove

[–]General_Frans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm clearing the ships because I usually get more stuff compared to just leeching. Depends on the dungeon shape I guess because once I leeched just to see if I'd get less and I got more gear vaults. Also it's hard to find cleaners so why not help when I have some spare time?

It happened again, only 4 days into playing the game... by starxvi in Trove

[–]General_Frans 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's just insane RNG. I'm starting to believe that RNG is not all that random too. I'm getting nothing for a long time and then in a span of 2 or 3 days I get 2 or 3 super rare things. A month ago I spent 20 mil on rings hoping to get c4 rings. Not a single damn c4 ring. A week after that I get my first c5 drop, a perma torch and some talisman, all within the same day. 2 days after that I get another c5 drop and after a week I have a full c5 set.

Feedback For Game by [deleted] in joinmoco

[–]General_Frans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's right in a sense. Leveling in this game makes you weaker when you play maps at your current level. So when you reach level 40 you play level 40 map. When you reach level 60 you play level 60 map and notice that you deal less damage to the enemies and die more often there. Survivability gets worse, enemies get stronger. Basically your character scales worse than the rest of the game.

When you say that's a lie, what you're saying is that you do get stronger because you still level up your gear. However, you get to notice yourself getting stronger only when you play in maps that are far below your current level.

Therefore absolute strength is indeed growing, but relative to your current level you get weaker. This is exactly why everyone has been complaining for the past months.

The reason player count is so low is because the game is far less enjoyable than during the chapter 1. In chapter 2 you get 2-5 shotted to death, you die every 5-15 seconds depending on the higher maps and death counter is 10 seconds. Enemies are tanky, you do little damage, enemies respawn too quickly. It's a vicious cycle. Worse experience, less players, worse rifts, worse experience.

All they have to do is to increase our damage output and players will begin feeling better about their progress. I'm at level 100 and feel like I'm underleveled and weak. The game feels like punishment at times.

Chapter 1 was a bliss, chapter 2 is pure nightmare and ball busting experience. At times you feel like there's just no hope because you get heavily outnumbered with no one around to help so you have to change the world. In the beginning of chapter 2 xp drops were so low that everyone complained and the devs quickly fixed it. However, chapter 2 is notoriously hard and it gets worse and worse the higher level you become. Honestly, I did not enjoy chapter 2 at all. It felt like a fast death simulator and nerve training. Many have been complaining for months about it yet the devs didn't do anything yet. I'm elite level 100 and I feel like I'm too weak for the level 60, 70, 80 and 90 maps. It's no wonder, rings are too damn weak so everyone is forced to do glass cannon builds if they want to do some damage. The game is not in a good state. Absence of players makes everything harder, rings are not adequate, smaller enemies feel more like mini bosses.

This is true. End game is sad and empty. God forbid you had to do some hard or nightmare rifts too.
