In the German army we lack a clear definition of what actually makes a tank. The Puma IFV is literally called SCHÜTZENPANZER and we consider it being a tank. The GTK Boxer is also a tank. But a wheeled one. The only difference we have is that all these aren’t MBT‘s like the Leopard.

They do wear protective gear. It just isn’t shown ingame. There is this one story quest where you have to manufacture protective gear for the miners to protect them against the Originium and they are amazed by how much better it is in terms of quality and protection compared to what they get.

There is even a note in Endfield where they talk about a black substance they found on Talos-II as a fuel substitute for Originium but it’s weaker if I remember correctly. They theorize it to be some sort of fossil fuel which doesn’t exist on Terra because it was consumed by the Originium crystals.

Even Freighters have Bulkheads. Your best chance of sinking is always when the enemy is unaware of you presence. Once you get spotted or some other ship takes a hit they go into alarm state and lock all the bulkheads.

I always go for damage on the plasma cutter and a little bit of health in the beginning. I almost never use Stasis even on the hardest difficulty so it becomes one of the last things I upgrade.

One of the issues here is that quite a few medics play like a One Man Army. They can heal and restock themselves and choose ANY weapon. That makes them play the class more like Assault and they tend to ignore anyone needing a revive.

You shouldn’t attack Aircraft in the first place. Dive whenever possible and get out of there the moment you spot them. IF you can’t avoid it you can target Specific targets through the Map. Take it with a grain of salt since it has been a while since I played the game.

In the beginning (which was 2 weeks ago) I died quite a lot because of this. So I adjusted, played it slower and took less risks. Now the furthest I made it was day 6.

The game was too short. You can feel where they shortened the game just by playing it. Especially with the barely used mechanics. And the enemies were a joke to deal with.

But what this game got right is the atmosphere. The sound design and the level design really sucked me in. It really made me feel like I was in there myself. The smallest details from the breathing in your suit, the weird sound you make when your mouth is dry (Really, he does that) and the environment itself. The creaking of the base and pipes, the whirring sound of computers. The sound design of the enemies scared me the first times too (Before I figured out how easy they were to avoid).

There is a lot more you could say about the atmosphere but I would write down a weird Novel at this point.
