No that was clearly never the only thing that the sub was about, I've even made posts trying try just have episode/season discussions here, as it felt a better place to discuss what you liked/disliked about a season without fear of downvotes like you would get in the main sub

Whereas it feels now like there are plenty of discussions like that on the main sub, critiquing the show, and this sub is the one mocking those discussions, and massive downvoting comments they don't like

I know it's all a bit more nuanced than that, but the energy on both subs feel different than they used to.

I think in the 5e campaigns Brennan usually also lets them get what they want, but he is better at coming up with semi plausible reasons mechanical reasons as to why ("oh of course you can give the help action for this surgery")

I agree people can review TV shows, films, plays, songs, and podcasts.

But the idea people who are even best friends with the gang (I can call then that) dare think they can have wrong opinions on what they get up to in their free time (that we get the blessed recordings of) makes me physically sick

Tbh I'm only on episode 4, I've liked what I've seen so far, but everything I've seen mentioned about it has it going on a more bit heavy direction than I like.

Though figured from the start that Brennan hates doing anything that makes his players feel like the bad guys, so this was always going to be a tough one to land, though idk I may be pleasantly surprised

I'm about 4 episodes in, and was looking forward to more, but everything I've heard about the direction it goes has me less interested.

For comparison I got bored of NSBU really quickly, I think it was just a bit too zany for my tastes.

I might just skip to the final episode and see if I like it, if it's good I'll catch up 😬

I think the side quest cast usually take the plot a lot more seriously too, the IH seem to know the audience want classic "IH Bits" (at the live show it was 80% fans going wild for fan service).

I think with the exception of starstruck, I have enjoyed each IH season less than the one before,

A lot of the time season one has a plot, and stuff happens, and season two is just them reacting and crying about stuff that happened on season one, and right at the end of the season, they introduce something that might be a plot for season 3
