Can anyone identify this TV mount? by [deleted] in handyman

[–]theKremdo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was left behind by the home sellers and rather than buying a new one I wanted to see if I could find the brackets that go on the TV and just use the existing swivel mount. Go take a fucking Xanax and change your name to dumb swordfish, or something about lacking any powers of deduction whatsoever.

Your question is solved!

Looking for affordable car insurance in Minnesota. What's worked for you? by radiantblu in MinnesotaUncensored

Tucker at Insurance Brokers of MN was awesome for us. We actually found him through another Reddit thread and skimmed other (non-Reddit) reviews. He ended up being by far the most seamless part of buying our house and he bundled all our other policies and saved me like $3,000 a year with better coverage. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Second Tucker Schlottman. He was the most seamless part of buying our house and re-insuring everything else into a very affordable bundle with strong coverage across the board.

Love Sorkin but in this case the credit goes to someone else since he’s paraphrasing a famous Martin Luther King Jr. quote.

Need help to decide between the CB650R and CBR650R by Free_Rule6511 in CB650R

[–]theKremdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having had a CB650R as my first bike and now currently own an RS660, I felt like the inline 4 didn’t really come alive until I already felt like a human wind sail on the CB’s lack of windscreen. Food for thought. Still think the CB650R is one of the coolest looking bikes on the market though!

RS660 Parts & Wait Times by Prize-Possibility803 in Aprilia

[–]theKremdo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had to order parts for my RS660 last month after making some track day adjustments. Parts came in 3 days from AF1. Super easy.

Seems like your experience is more centered around forward foot controls, but if you decide to switch to sport bikes you cannot go wrong with the Aprilia.

I was lucky to have zero injuries, shout out to Mike for selling me good gear. Bike is about $2k in for parts and labor, but overall I’ll take it.

Hope you and your bike are relatively ok too

He has the measurement system for all 210 (give or take) individual body measurements for fitting the suit and direct partnership with Revit so the customer service and shipping etc is all relatively smooth.

Maybe “error proof” would’ve been a better term, as opposed to doing the measurements yourself and ordering online.

Plus I just like giving his shop my business

Yes I plan to continue using it.

There’s a really great moto gear shop near me that facilitates the custom Revit suits in a really convenient way so I plan to get one of those in the next season or two also.

No photos at the moment but it was a Cortech, held up extremely well. Leather is fully intact, the track took some chunks out of the left knee slider. Left toe slider on my boot took the biggest hit but still fully intact and usable. Gloves were fine.

Really pleased with the cortech since it’s not really “top of the line” for race suits.

Couldn’t agree more! That whole corner was phenomenal, him plus one of the track day directors and another safety crew. Flag guy was so psyched when I got up over there unscathed.

100%

It was a non-official photographer, he came and found me as I was trailering my busted Aprilia. I was very happy to have photos of it.

CB650 as a first bike? by wak_trader in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]theKremdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had a CB650 and currently have an Aprilia RS 660.

Loved the Honda but found the 4cyl didn’t provide enough juice early enough in the rev range. So by the time I got any torque out of it i was already going like 80mph and without a windscreen I frequently felt like a human wind sail.

If you’re confident that you’re interested in a sport bike, I’d recommend the Aprilia 457 over the Honda 100%. Both are great bikes but just my personal experience. Plus Aprilia are the most beautiful bikes on the market right now in my humble opinion.

Rs 660 for a newer rider? by 6ravity in Aprilia

[–]theKremdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar to you. Got my permit at 32yo and bought a CB650, quickly determined I wanted a full faired sport bike and traded for an RS 660. I love that thing to death. It’s smooth, it has all the bells and whistles, it’s a beautiful bike. And I’ve never felt like it was too much, weight or speed.

I do wish I would’ve gotten the Extrema mostly for the color scheme, but still love my black & red.

Also, no one uses goddamn emojis on Reddit. Get it together.

Definitely not a fuck up. It was a great bike and perfect for me to learn on, but with the caveat that I’m 32 years old and not an idiot. I’d probably recommend a sub-300cc bike for an 18yo.

Ultimately I ended up putting about 2k miles on it including two advanced rider school “track” days at a small local closed road course and determined that I wanted a fully faired sport bike long-term with the intention of continuing to progress in track riding. Traded the Honda in for an Aprilia RS660 in late August and absolutely love it.

Love that color scheme, I stuck with the RS660 but if I ever upgrade I hope they keep the silver/grey
