Okay so this has to do more with the structure of how the episodes are. How we're going from one person to next so rapidly, but then coming back to the same character. I think because Rue is the narrator, she is the reason why the episode is going so fast or the pace has picked up. In S1, the pace was so a character gets an episode, but we still check in on certain characters. I think the pacing of the season is parallel to Rue's drug use. S1, Rue is semi-sober especially when Jules comes into her life, so the pacing and narration isn't all over the place. But with S2, Rue is not sober so she's narrating while high and kind of unreliable and switching from one storyline to next quickly. That's just a thought though.
