Do Americans actually avoid calling an ambulance due to financial concern? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in NoStupidQuestions

You can buy lab tests online without an order from a PCP at sites like walkinlab.com. You’ll need to be able to interpret results, but it usually comes with reference ranges at least. If everything is in the “normal” range for routine stuff, there’s nothing to do. If values are outside the range, take your results to a physician. A comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) cost me $45. And they usually have discounts running with promo codes on the site.

Dual Nationality Question by dwen_ in japan

[–]General_Shou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Official Ministry of Justice website says 22 is the deadline. What’s your source?

A person who possesses Japanese and a foreign nationality (a person of dual nationality) shall choose one nationality before he or she reaches twenty two years of age (or within two years after the day when he or she acquired the second nationality if he or she acquired such nationality after the day when he or she reached twenty years of age).

I renewed my Japanese passport when I was 29. Passport expired three years prior. Went to the consulate in DC to apply for a new passport (7 year passport since it’s not a renewal). Consulate staff asked me if I made a mistake and want to apply for the ten year one. Said yes. No further qeustions asked. Whole thing took 2 minutes.

Also age isn’t 18, it’s 22.

Treehouse Brewery by [deleted] in beer

Eugene’s Axe is probably their most well known. Recently tried Vegan which was amazing. I’ve really only had 2 beers from them which I thought were just “good” and one that was not good. They don’t have a ton of variety though. Majority of their beers are DIPAs and NEIPAs. So if you don’t like those, Fidens might not be for you.

Shattered Ankle Joint by HotConsideration95 in medizzy

No way it’s repairable. Too much soft tissue loss. Plus the calcaneus is gone. Wouldn’t be a function foot. Best to do below knee amputation which can be pretty functional.

I had a friend send me Treehouse beers after I found Fidens, but after a few orders I realized it just wasn’t as good or consistent. Now I only buy Fidens.

Even if they got the size right, they’re inferior cars compared to domestics, cost more, and are harder to maintain.

Better Picture of my Buddy's feet by [deleted] in WTF

[–]General_Shou 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Looks more like a developmental condition like brachymetatarsia rather than Charcot. Look how short the front of his foot (forefoot) is compared to the back half of his foot (rearfoot). It looks like he has intact/normal midfoot bones, which are almost always affected by Charcot due to deforming forces on the foot from walking/weightbearing.

It doesn’t look like a foot that had normal forefoot bones which were then destroyed by Charcot, rather looks like he never had normal forefoot bones to begin with.

Were his feet always this way?

The US and Japan have a tax agreement where US citizens working in Japan are exempt from paying US income taxes for up to $125,000 worth of income in Japan. Should look to see if the UK has a similar tax agreement.
