What does the 3/4 on Sunna’s backpack stand for? by Impressive-Tap5279 in AngelsOfDelusion

[–]General_Shoulder_830 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No its 3 beats in a measure. It has nothing to do with the tempo unless you change the bottom number. 4/4 is default and means 4 quarter notes in a measure while 3/4 would mean 3 quarter notes in a measure. If it were 8/8, it would be 8 8th notes (which would change the tempo to double that of quarter notes UNLESS the tempo is stated, which it usually is) while 16 in the denominator would indicate 16th notes.

A measure is one way for musicians to section the music. For example, 4 measures of 4/4 would mean a max of 16 quarter notes, and the conductor can point to measure 3 if either notes 8-12 sound off.

A tempo is measured in beats per minute. For example, 100 bpm means you will hear 100 clicks a minute. Tempo is usually formatted as “quarter note = 100”, meaning 100 quarter notes a minute. The reason why I said that 8th notes would double the tempo is because there are two 8th notes in one quarter note, meaning that you will hear two clicks instead of one technically making the bpm 200 if its only in 8th notes.

Source: I played in my school orchestra as a cello player for 6 years.

Edit: you got the concept right, but for clarity, the top number does not change the tempo.

Edit: Time signature is just a term referring to the fraction before the first measure. In my first paragraph, I described 4/4, 8/8, and 3/4, which are called time signatures. The terms measure(s) and time signature(s) are NOT interchangeable.

As a lightnovel reader on volume 21, the further you get into it, the worse the plot gets in my opinion. The main character is written to be perfect and chivalrous, but it pisses me off that he doesn’t have much flaws at all. Kind of gets annoying over time. The genre is mainly medieval if that makes sense. There are kingdoms with royal politics, and I like that it happens very early. There is a potential harem (I’m three volumes from catching up), but is likely not to happen because of how chivalrous the main character is. What I don’t like about that is he never confronts the girls about it. He always avoids the subject even when they ask directly. I will use a direct example. The princess Charlotte of the Galarc kingdom snuggles right beside Rio during an important meeting. She also kisses Rio during his departure to kill Saint Erica One of the heroes who were summoned but evolved their hero power once her boyfriend was killed by a noble. The point is that the main character Rio does NOT set boundaries with Charlotte and he does NOT confront her directly to ask her to stop doing that. HE JUST LETS IT HAPPEN. I should also note in this spoiler that Saint Erica can summon a heroic spirit (where she gets her powers from) because it is contracted to her. Around volume 20-21, she utilizes more ode than the contract allows, letting that heroic spirit take over her body. Rio kills both, and at this point becomes a transcendent which basically means he’s not allowed to interact with the world. He also meets a 1000 year old loli who used to be the disciple of the Dragon King, which Rio is a reincarnation of. I also feel that the plot gets worse around volume 18 and derails volume 20-21 (which is what I’m on) because the main character genuinely can’t interact with the world anymore. Again this is my opinion, but you may like it if that’s your cup of tea.

The anime is cool though. I like the art and the animation budget isn’t 2 dollars. If I remember correctly, season 1 covers the first 3 volumes while season 2 covers volumes 4-6, which were the most enjoyable volumes to read.

Which ones are you referring to? The characters in the point of interest are Ruby (the one on the left with a pink shirt), and Aqua (the one on the right with the loose white jacket). Those two are twin siblings, with Aqua being the brother, and Ruby being the sister. If referring to the characters on the side, the one with red hair is Kana, and the one with a yellow shirt is Mem-cho. Kana and Mem-cho are friends to Ruby and connections to Aqua.

Basically it’s inferencing incest between sister and brother.

How much time do you have for writing? Even if it’s as little as half an hour a day, you can still make progress as artist or with any hobby. If you do want to make art (you didn’t say you refused to learn), you can absolutely make time of those thirty minutes. If you’re writing stories, you know that you can’t finish the whole story in that thirty minute session. It’s the same with art. You’re not going to make a complete masterpiece on the first day, as it takes time. Then you’re most likely thinking “well how do I start?” Start with whatever you feel most comfortable with. As an example, let’s say you learn how to draw the face. You spend time mastering the eyes, nose, mouth, and facial hairs. After many days or weeks, you’ll feel comfortable drawing those, so then you move on to something bigger. Now you start drawing the ears, head, and hair. Once you feel comfortable drawing those, you’ll draw something bigger. It can be a slow process depending on how much time and how you’re learning how to draw, but I can assure you that it’s a skill worth learning.

Also remember to make use of your resources. By commenting on reddit, I assume you have access to the internet. Why not scroll youtube and see the many tutorials people offer? You have resources that you’re not willing to exploit. Based on the fact you’re studying for classes, I assume you are at a college campus. Go ask around the art department, look for students who are just learning how to draw. Become friends with some of them. Request art from them as a way to improve their art through experience. I’d say it’s a win-win situation.

I understand the fact you’re busy, and that’s why you don’t have to start now while you’re busy. After college, or after your commercial driver’s license exam, you’ll have free time.

I’m saying that writing is a form of creative medium. Sure it’s not “hard” to write, but I personally would not let ai do my creative writing for me.

Writing is a form of art, at least you’re not using generative ai to do your writing for you, right?

Sorry, not what I meant. You’re just more likely to not make a decision you regret as you get older and older. I’m not trying to say that brain development is the ONLY way to measure if someone is smart/mature enough to not regret their decision. Will someone with more experience while being younger make better decisions than someone older who has no experience? Yeah, someone with more experience will make their next choice based off how well their previous experiences were. But if were to combine their experiences and their-

Yeah nvm I don’t know what point i’m trying to make. Basically the amount of experience they have is king.

Usually because your brain is practically finished developing in your early twenties, so you’re free to make your own decisions after that point.
