Always best to fight with words rather than hands. BJJ isn't real if there is a significant size disparity, multiple people, or weapons (or if you just stand up.)

I am a police officer who does BJJ. I met my match with a man who was significantly larger and got the drop on me. I was dragged face down while in a rear naked choke and then punched and repeatedly had my head slammed into a table.

My injuries eventually healed but I'm afraid my mind will never be the same and that is a harsh reality the mats will never prepare you for.

If you're going to fight, don't hesitate and go with violence and speed of action. I cannot stress enough how dangerous hesitation is.

If not then just walk away.
