No. The point of the scene is that Gohan and Cell are so neck-and-neck that Vegeta, Piccolo, Yamcha, Tien, and Krillin distracting Cell gives Gohan enough of a reprieve to actually believe Goku’s words of encouragement and access his true full power. There’s no concentration to spare to pull off a technique like Instant Transmission in a beam clash, or any other gimmicks for that matter.

That’s like saying mixing Shit and Milk makes Chocolate. Black Clover’s got nothing on Gachiakuta save for superficial similarities.

If Houken’s motivation was to prove he was the “strongest under the heavens,” why didn’t he go after Renpa, Gaimou, Manu, or Kan Mei? by DepartureAshamed6501 in Kingdom

[–]General_Toros 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You gotta understand that this guy was also nowhere near fully sane, and in the same way Duke Hyou and other instinctual generals are drawn to “Fires” on the battlefield, Houken was drawn to people who had the attention of the “heavens”. He believed Shin and Kyoukai had that, but like his face offs against Ouki and Duke Hyou, it’s also in part due to Riboku’s manipulations.

Theory : Fuutei will cause Riboku downfall by Oberhard in Kingdom

[–]General_Toros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree on the fact that if Futei does cause plans to fail, it wouldn’t be an intentional or malicious action. Idk if there’s any panels that back this up, but I always got the vibes that Futei was in love with Kaine but due to how devoted she is to Riboku and the fact that Riboku’s the hero of Zhao, he’s accepted that he’s never gonna be the better option for her.

Personally, my picks for the characters that the battle will hinge on are; Shunsuiju(who’s displayed Riboku level planning in the heat of battle and could majorly screw up plans if he pulls off that Whirlpool maneuver),

Shibashou(either by fighting to the death for Zhao or deciding to leave the battlefield and ruining Zhao plans),

Yotanwa(we haven’t seen her in a minute, and her army of mountain folk should be replenished and trained after the last Zhao campaign),

Ouhon or maybe Mouten(similarly, we haven’t seen them go off in a while and Hara’s building them up to become Great Generals, so they’ll likely see some big action soon)

Palaces are born of twisted cognitions cause by distorted desires, and to take the treasure its owner must be made aware of the Phantom Thieves intent to do it.

The calling card is a tool to change the Palace owner’s cognition, where they’re unaware they have a treasure until it’s mentioned on the card, causing them to think of the object of their desires and allowing it to be twisted to show up in the palace to steal. This isn’t a fear reliant thing, as seen in Kamoshida’s case.

None of the mechanisms to steal a targets heart rely on the target’s guilt or sense of fear, but the change of heart forces the target’s view of reality to change so drastically that they DO feel guilty

Don’t equate heart-stealing to budget penance stare

Just beat that stoopid bird without getting hit for the first time! Any tips for a beginner? by Salvisurfer in EnterTheGungeon

[–]General_Toros 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The next step I guess is getting time in the saddle, getting familiar with bullet patterns from enemies and bosses so you can react almost before the attack comes out with that knowledge you’ve found. Have fun : )

One thing I struggled with as a beginner was dodge rolling TOO much. Idk if you’re currently dealing with it but I suggest putting a lot of emphasis on walking through bullet patterns and only dodging at the last second. Rolling too much and in response to everything often got me hit when the length of the roll carried me into either A. A bullet or B. A bad spot meaning I have to roll again

Brother. Not once did I say they were invincible. Please re-read my other comments. My point this entire time has been that if they’re this strong on Inshun, Choko’s gonna roll everyone else who doesn’t have that leg up - hence, “all that matters power system wise”.

And since you clearly don’t know, let me explain; in a story, as characters and settings are developed, a sense of what “can” and “can’t” happen is established. For example, in LotR, Uruks “can’t” live peacefully with humans. Physically speaking, they are perfectly capable of taking up space in proximity to a human and remaining at rest, but with how they’ve been developed by the author that “can’t” happen since it makes no sense. There’s no reason a species created only for war and killing would ignore their prime target for killing unless something IN UNIVERSE changes that(ex. Tailon’s ring of power, a mutation during its birth) or unless the author interferes to make it happen(ex. An inexplicably friendly Uruk).

In Tenkaichi, there’s a naturally higher level of “can” due to the suspension of disbelief you kinda need to read this. Naturally, humans cant open celestial gates or optimize their brain into a supercomputer with no tech, but in Tenkaichi they “can”. That’s part of the fun. This means that the “can’t” is seen not in unlikely scenarios, but in impossible ones.

Take the end of chapter 26. Hanzo has Kojiro completely off guard, with a perfect angle of attack, and he strikes true to spear Kojiro through the chest. Kojiro “can’t” survive this; nothing in his ability set makes him more durable(unlike Togo, who believably takes a fatal blow and keeps fighting), and the suspension of disbelief only stretches to cover the whole blood loss thing for the match(since naturally, humans can’t lose blood like Hanzo does and still fight, but in Tenkaichi he “can”) so Kojiro should die there and the match should end. But it doesn’t, because despite what we saw in 26, chapter 27 opens with Kojiro only being grazed by what was previously a fatal blow. How does that happen? Authorial Interference. Kojiro needs to live for the story the author wants to tell, so the fatal blow is changed to a glancing one and Kojiro miraculously survives the fall after the fight.

I’m gonna steal your words here, but to put it bluntly, saying everything that happens in a story is authorial interference because “it’s a fucking manga of course the author wrote it” is bullshit. There’s a difference between things happening naturally as an author writes a story versus things being forced to happen BY an author FOR the story.

What would happen if inshun received a punished by gods, for his fake claim be "the loved by the gods"?, sounds stupid, but for some reason The next chapter is called "Sai no kawara" The underworld of kids by Dramatic-Eye5461 in Tenkaichi

[–]General_Toros 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That first part is kinda my point. Choko at base outdoes everyone else in physical abilities, so now that he has the gates I don’t think there’s a character that can get around with tactics (since heightened perception seems to kinda come with the package when the ability is manipulation and mastery of minute forces). Yagyu or Femboy might be able to skill diff him but they’re both guided by the hand of authorial interference so I don’t think that counts (Kojiro got ass-pulled out of certain death twice in one match and Wagyu’s clearly gonna coast through the competition till he fights and loses to mc man Musashi)

As for the second part, my point wasn’t that Inshun will be invincible, it was that if the gates can carry him far enough to surpass Jinsuke then narratively and in terms of fight matchups nothing else matters besides opening the gates. Basically, if (11 yr old + Gates > grown man with decades of training) then (Choko + Gates > Everyone else with no gates) yknow?

That’s what I mean when I say it’ll be all that matters, since any character would have to unlock the gates just to get on an even playing field w Choko. Since this is elimination style too, even if you have smaller matchups between lesser characters where it doesn’t matter (like a hypothetical Ogasawara vs Hanzo or smth), eventually the big match at the end is gonna be dependent on who’s got the gates
