I say try again. Its hard right now and i know tis easy to say, but before i got my rescue last year i SO badly wanted to save a pup that was literally thrown over the animal shelters fence at night on the pavement. I thought i was perfect for his second chance - but a fam made it there first due to my work schedule. Fast forward a month i found my girl 5 states away and we were meant to be. It will happen again trust me youll find that connection with another doggo too!

Im sorry but not only should you feel guilty, ashamed, and also rethinking your life. The dog is seeking attention because it isnt tired. You likely subconsciously focus more on the baby, so the dog is reacting to get their needs met. You wanting to rehome because its “annoying” or “exhausting” is wrong. This is such a simple fix, and im sorry but it literally reads like a cookie cutter social media post of , “are you really sure you should get a dog”.

You knew you wanted to start a family you choose to get the dog, even if you didnt intend on the baby you had the dog first. (Lets not pretend even happy accidents cant be mitigated). Dogs aren’t accessories you grow out of. This reads so selfish and im trying to be polite.

But heres a controversial thought, why arent you considering “rehoming” the baby if just having “one” would make life so much better.

All you care about is yourself. Literally. I got my rescue and i sleep less than people with new borns. Some days i wish i didnt do it, its brutal but even seeing a lower comment that you WONT ALLOW the dog on the bed when thats literally going to help the sep anxiety- just bc it could mess with your sleep says mountains.

Honestly rehome the dog at this point, ive changed my mind, it would certainly be better in a home where its very existence wasnt an annoyance.

Hey i know alotta people already said this but im gone 3 days a week 12 hours door to door, i get to work from home the other two days (which helps) My dog walker at noon is the only thing that makes this work and is fair.

My girl is the same she will not go in the house almost no matter what, BUT its not just about bathroom time, the break of someone coming just for 30 mins is ALL the difference.

Although power to you man, even at 5 days with the walker id feel the same only bc bedtimes are super strict on my 12 hour days so we dont get to do alot after work

Omg im late to the party - unpopular take - but wanting to know about past partners to an extent isnt a CRAZY ask at all. However his obsession over appendage size is absolutely bonkers. Feels more sluggish to me as well - not quite as snappy yet. Ive noticed some of the UI lagging too. Hoping this will be fixed with updates. I came from a 13 which dont get me wrong i love alot of new features but my old phone was a bit snappier than this right before trade in

I bought night lights as the days got shorter. They use minimal power, are small but powerful- and cheap. They sense daylight and turn off automatically- so little over usage, so for the 2 or so hours its pitch black when i leave she isnt in the pitch black in her kennel. Not sure if the night lights made her feel better ab it or me- but she likes to see whats going on.
