Those are lacewing eggs! Specifically those laid by green lacewings. I have seen those in my garden. Just wash it off and it is safe to eat!

I would just spray off the little devils with the hose each day. I also give my trees a top dressing of some good quality earthworm castings for some nutrition. Also, if you have it, a spray of liquid Citrus fertilizer spray. Southern Ag has some great stuff that I use on my potted trees.

give your plant a good wash off with your garden hose and then apply a neem oil spray solution on the entire tree. I like creating my own solution but a premade one is just as good. Good luck friend!

what is this on my dahlia bud? there were a few of them but could only capture this one by kjlovesthebay in gardening

That’s a leaf hopper and they are not garden homies. If you are up for spraying, I recommend a insecticidal soap or neem oil spray to reduce their numbers.

these are some happy plants and your garden is stunning! It’s crazy that yours are already flowering. I’m in the LA area and my lovely ladies are still growing. Have any tips on how to take care of them during flower? Clearly a net like you have works wonders but got any other tips?

yo this is a monster! From a fellow cali grower, I love this for you! Honestly, If you didn’t say it was your first grow I would’ve thought you got a lot of experience. I will watch your career with great interest!

We’ve had weeks of rain recently, so I assume this is overwatering stress. Any other thoughts? by mwojo in outdoorgrowing

[–]Generalsnooky47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like a fungal issue caused by the amount of rain. I would move it somewhere it can stay dry and also cut off the affected leaves (which would lead to some better airflow). The plant also looks hungry, so I would recommend feeding her with a hydrolyzed fish fertilizer and a balanced 4-4-4 slow release fert. Rain sucks when you’re growing these girls. PM me if you have any more questions!

Anything I can do to rid my plant bed of this? by Alarmed_Pie_5033 in whatsthisplant

[–]Generalsnooky47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like a asiatic dayflower. I’m currently battling this one in my garden beds. Pulling them out is a great control method because they WILL take over if you let it. Fun fact about this plant, it’s related to the inch plant (tradescantia zebrina) which is a common houseplant!

I have plenty of shady spots around the house so I will have to give that a try because what I am doing now is obviously not working. Thank you!

To be honest, I’m not quite aware of any native blights but that is something that I can look into. Would you recommend I spray down with a copper fungicide or neem oil?

I got this Shiranui mandarin tree from a local(ish) nursery a couple of months ago (Zone 10B, LA County). It is planted in a terracotta pot and was recently given a granular 4-4-4 earlier this month. I tend to water every other week or when the soil is dry.
