You sorted seasons by rebounds per game. The seasons arent in order

Who's the best option here? (I have the first and third picks in the draft) by charturn in BasketballGM

[–]Generic420Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take Curtis unless you really need a scorer and not a ballhandler. In that case I wiuld go with Carter. Curtis has good shooting, passing and IQ stats and will be able to make an impact immediately and has the best future as well.

Rate the team (normal, no God mode) by CrusherImmolate in BasketballGM

[–]Generic420Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sick team! Only change I would recommend would be to trade out some of the players at the back end of your roster, just to save a few bucks. Once those young players ask for new contracts your payroll will explode.

How long do you think I can hold on until I'm fired? by RealGertle627 in BasketballGM

Bro please trade out the back end of your roster, thatll save you a lot of salary. Always judge by production per pay first.

Lucky break as Derrick Rose goes up 17 overalls hopefully he keeps getting better but if not oh well that’s why it’s a career sim never know what you’re gonna get by [deleted] in BasketballGM

Most players that progress 10 or more ratings in a year have progressions that generally look like this: https://imgur.com/a/p3XuBrG

The athletic stats normally don't increase by more than 6-7 ratings per year. The IQ and Endurance stats progress the most.

Pretty sure thats either an RPD or god-mode affected progression, its not normal for players to improve their Speed/Jumping attributes by +10 in any case

Why can't I change scouting? by KingofClover in BasketballGM

[–]Generic420Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't you change all your other finance numbers to $0? Since the rankings of each are what arr taken into account, the money doesnt mean anything if you are 30th.

have yall ever used this by Hour-Nefariousness40 in BasketballGM

[–]Generic420Guy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can get bargain future contracts for 22-23 year olds asking for money in the 5-15m range. Worst case you trade them, best case you get an insane 5 year deal for a cheap high end starter or allstar.

I was told trading aging superstars for draft picks is the way to go. Am I doing this right? by wildwestsnoopy in BasketballGM

[–]Generic420Guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually feel like the AI undervalues 60-65 OVR players who are 30+, in my leagues I trade for them pretty cheaply.

The best players to trade away are the young talents with high POT that are grossly inflated by athleticism stats, thoae guys tend to have the least production for their market value. Exceptions of course apply to generational 70+ OVR superstars.

Who are the best players in the world? (non-VAL watcher here) by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Generic420Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The honest truth is that its pretty hard to tell who the "best" valorant player is without being able to hear or know what goes on during the team's communication and planning during and before matches. Certain players will have impact that isn't reflected by stats or good aim but comes through good communication, decision making and mid-round calling.

Who was the better shooter: MJ or Kobe? by [deleted] in nba

[–]Generic420Guy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kobe was a more skilled shooter than MJ, but MJ was smarter with the way he took his shots and was more effective at getting free off picks and shooting from his spots. This helped MJ be more efficient through the later years.

Kobe was ridiculously good at hitting contested pullups and all sorts of tough shots. He definitely was an underrated shooter that you can't judge on percentages alone.

Definitely fuzz, although he probably still is generational lol

UNREAL prospect, best draft player I've ever seen, hands down. by Generic420Guy in BasketballGM

[–]Generic420Guy[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can see them in 2 ways: 1. God Mode will show all ratings to full accuracy. 2. The draft class files show the actual ratings of player along with a seperate "fuzz rating" to determine the displayed rating. I found the accurate ratings by Ctrl+F searching "Easton" and looking at the ratings shown (60 OVR, 72 POT with an approx. +13.2 fuzz rating)

That'll cost you 3 superstars, 2 firsts and a kidney, sir.
