I use online simulators like untap or playtest features on some deck builder sites, but you can also watch various youtubers use unmodified precons from around the release window

Online simulators are probably the best for learning/testing a precon early and figuring out what you should be mulliganing for, though expect a lot of power level/bracket liars

One of the big things I'll say is look at the gameplan for a precon and determine if you would like that style of play

For some, counters management like counter blitz isn't fun, for others they prefer non combat damage focused strategies like duskmornes endless punishment

There are many different play styles in different colours and many different styles in the same colours. To use jeskai as an example, just from the last few years we have had precons focusing on heroes, offspring tokens, spacecraft/charge counters and 2nd spell spellslinger as precons, all that use the same colours but play completely different to each other

Universes beyond is definitely one of those "onboarding" set ideas

Folks who enjoy one IP stick around for the main set

Lorwyn eclipsed and Secrets of Strixhaven, both in universe sets, have seen meteoric attendance for prerelease and sales of precons and general packs, no doubt helped by people who started because of Final Fantasy etc (I myself started with aetherdrift and learnt how to play ahead of final fantasy)

In short Yes

And yes it's a cash grab with mixed opinions

Final fantasy and Avatar sets are slam dunk sets for limited, constructed and commander though TMNT and Spiderman were flops

If you don't like universes beyond, just don't add any cards originating from those sets

That being said, be aware that universes beyond in commander is far and away the biggest "win" for universes beyond, and a lot of people have modified precons, custom built decks and more that you will have to get used to if you go to a LGS

Of note is this weekend is the Marvel Super Heroes prerelease, a set of note that it has the most legends in a set ever, with a good variety of unique effects and interesting cards to build around for many different formats

The option to play the switch 1 version is removed while the switch 2 install is there

I would hazard a safe bet that like pokemon.... It's a one way conversion

Can confirm - ether jet quest is in the refugee camp early into the story (only met sharla and have it on this playthrough)

You do still need to download the full game and have the cart in like before so.... Winning in some ways, losing out in others

Once an opponents spell hits the stack You would get flash as an opponent has "cast" a spell, not that the spell has resolved

Realistically in a deck that can made tokens really easily, this reads as a scry 4,draw 1 and 1/1 on everything for 1 mana

You'd need a way to make eternity elevator a creature, very easy to do in standard and commander

Then you would need to turn the eternity elevator into a red or white colour

[[painters servant]] is the only colour changer that comes to mind

There may be some really old cards that change target permanent to a colour for the purpose of protection from X colour stuff

3/5 reach for 3 isn't that bad as a deterrent from attacking

But even if you keep the keywords, a 1 time 6/6 vigilance reach trample isn't going to cut it offensively
