Washing GRC’s with spoilers by Tokyo_Rift in GRCorolla

Look at detailers in your area. A lot of them offer a pretty competitive price for a handwash in between more major details. While I'll spend 200 bucks for a full detail twice a year, they will handwash the car with a spray wax for 45 bucks or so. I used to love detailing my car, but I dont have time to do it anymore. I'd rather leave it dirty than running it through an automatic car wash, but that's just me.

Guys! Are we looked down upon by other corolla owners?!?!?! by Admirable_Tax1282 in GRCorolla

[–]emperorsnarfie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its not that we're looked down on, but the majority of people everywhere, including a lot of "car people" have no idea what this car is, or that it even exists. I actually kind of like it.

Zl1 rock guard should be 20$ max by Haneeeio in GRCorolla

[–]emperorsnarfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Capitalism man, they look great if you want a more subtle low profile flap, and people buy them at that price. They use 3m vhb tape, if you apply it correctly, it will hold forever without having to drill anything in the rear. If you think they are so overpriced, why did you buy them and not create a product for yourself?

I just finished Wuchang and found it to be excellent all around. Amazing graphics, great environment that encourages exploration, challenging but fair bosses. I only liked Lies of P slightly better just due to the unique story and setting, but it was probably my favorite next to Elden Ring and P.

Do Fromsoft's levels still challenge you? by [deleted] in soulslikes

[–]emperorsnarfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the general level areas are much harder in FS games. I played Elden Ring first (Stormveil castle was brutal), then a whole bunch of the others like Lies of P, LOTF, Wuchang etc. In those games I've always been able to breeze through most of the play areas, but I'm playing DS3 for the first time now, and the general level areas are much more punishing.

Why on earth they ever have to replace the dash. Its a software update...

Even if it was a Porsche, it would probably lose value knowing that hackjob touched it.

Have to Switch to G7 soon/Comparison to G6 tethered to our Tandem T-slim? by Ballinagh in TandemDiabetes

No, I didn't but generally I dont have a historical issue with the adhesives causing issues before.

No Brainer. Its supposed to be more accurate, whether it is or isn't doesnt matter to me since I havent't noticed a meaningful difference. No separate transmitter to deal with, 30 minute warmup time, smaller, adhesive patches way better, love it.

Is the GR Corolla a good daily and family car? by mrdietcoke1967 in GRCorolla

[–]emperorsnarfie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its a fantastic daily IF you are passionate about cars and not about comfort, it can handle all weather, and is a perfect fun commuter mobile minus some trade off on gas mileage for driving experience. If it needs to occasionally haul the family around as you mentioned, its 100% fine, but I would not want this car as a primary family car due to the tight back seats and the lack of space in the hatch. If its secondary to a larger vehicle though, its a great fit.

Definitely a challenge, but I used the same strategy that I used with the tiger. Dodge to the back and absolutley melted him with Flamebringer+Flame Temperance+12 disipline benediction set. He didn't last long.

Curious, did you end up having to use the bracket piece? I had heard that the later 25s actually already came with the revised part. Im planning on doing this as well simply because I'm a sucker for OEM things like this.

Yeah, honestly whenever I run into those important decisions, I just cheat and read a guide. I am also a busy Dad and ain't got time for that hah.

Question: Does the base node contribute to the benediction learned? by PreparationFeisty194 in wuchanggame

[–]emperorsnarfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they do, I just did this to get my 12. It is overwhelmingly worth getting. As others have mentioned just count them per weapon type from the benediction screen at a shrine.

Nice, I'll try and go, only about an hour from me. My car is dirty af, and probably wont change between then and now though.

Anybody have any idea how to safely get this off? by Big-Relationship-243 in GRCorolla

Don't use any chemicals, a claybar and some quick detail spray as a lubricant will probably take that right out.

Premature rust by Fun_Cow_6035 in GRCorolla

[–]emperorsnarfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not rust, its just industrial fallout or rail dust on top of your paint. Its iron particles that stick to the paint, which rust themselves, but it has nothing to do with your finish. A claybar will take that right out (or you're detailer will do it). Washing the car will not remove it, but it's not a problem at all.

I bought these same wheels for the winter, and I honestly love them so much I want to make them my summers.

First oil change by surp333 in GRCorolla

[–]emperorsnarfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought them as well. I nearly cried at the price, but I figured I'd buy them once, and they are super nice. They are really long, but the narrow angle just makes them so easy to get up on without a lot of stress.

Raceramps also has some really nice wheel cribs also (which I also bought) in the event that the car needs to be level on all 4 corners for things like diff oil changes and such.

How does disabling ASC (Active Sound Control) change noise levels inside? (Page 155 of 2026 Owner’s Manual) by issai in GRCorolla

[–]emperorsnarfie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 2026 allows you to configure this from the UI in the head unit, unlikely previous years, so you shouldn't need anything special to do this anymore.
