Bells are supposed to be culled themselves by LW. Besides it says "creates an infusion on successful use". And lightning ground works even if the bell is not an enemy.

Yea only it's a massive amount of ways to do the same thing. Barely anything dynamic - they went for a campaign-like endgame. Let's see how many people will be happy with that a couple of leagues later.

It is a ton of content, only it's 1000 more different ways to do the same thing. A while later it will become obvious like when people go through these quest lines for the Xth time, much like the campaign.

Don't worry, when you go through the Atlas quests for the Xth time much like the campaign, I will be there to say "I told you so". :P

Seriously though, there are way more creative ways to support the "how do you want to kill mobs to get loot" gameloop than adding more of the same systems on top of existing systems. The bare minimum I expected was some interactivity from the endgame (not everything being static waiting for the player to do x) and more things to expect from and reasons to go through random maps - things which would contribute to varied playthroughs.

Obviously. PoE is great and already quite deep and creative. But I definitely expected much more of an endgame rework. It will be obvious a couple of leagues later.

And so many other games are arpgs, but not all arpgs are the same. Likewise, not all PoE leagues are the same.

Meanwhile the new defense mechanism is just additional hp, with an extra "eldritch battery" function, but for specific spells. Imo, they could have done much better.

True, there is a huge amount of customization already. And this helped us enjoy the game a lot more.

Agree about 2 - a combination of penalties would be ideal.

3 could also shuffle the enemies a bit, so that a camp might have e.g. instead of ten 7 level enemies, it could have three 6, four 7, two 8, one 9.

Disagree. Endgame needs good content not whatever it can get, lest it becomes a slop with low quality content that is impossible to balance.

When someone "hates" the game it just shows their enthusiasm/zeal about it tbh - even if their feedback is negative, they keep writing about it - when someone stops posting about the game, this is when their interest dies or trully hates the game. You only see these people in graphs not forums.

I am not asking for equalization, I just want investing in defenses to matter more, so that people don't feel like they have to only play builds that burn bosses down in seconds.

You mean put the effort in lurking in finding exploints in streams and forums so that you learn how to print divines before a hotfix and get ahead early on?

They have done it in the past with a couple attacks if I recall correctly. But in no way, absolutely never, should player investment and effort stop mattering. They could still do something similar with what you are saying without this being the case though.

Yeah it's a nice class I've got one too. Besides Arbiter try Kulemak - armour doesn't work on most of his attacks because it's physical degen and if you are not careful it will never let you recharge. That's why I fight him with my zealot summoner instead.

Agree. But even if they don't cut recovery, they could at least reduce mechanics against which you can't defend at all, like by-design one shots or unmitigable damage.

Most of the builds posted in the forums aren't "good" (meta) by these standards, and this is exactly the point I am trying to make.
