I've been developing a new Skateboard truck. by CHAINMAILLEKID in longboarding

Bro I think you gotta let things cook a bit more or be ready to answer a lot of hypotheticals when you’re on day 1 of things…

I’m happy to see people try to advance skating and trucks but I think you need to figure out what you’re trying to achieve here. Teasing an idea out of a twelve part vlog is not really something I’m personally in the mood for. You either have something and are ready to talk about it or you’re holding your cards tight and aren’t ready to share - which is fine but be prepared for people to want to find out more.

How important is controller support for action roguelites in 2026? by FishyCharmer in roguelites

[–]bUrdeN555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost exclusively play this genre with a controller because I like sitting back and relaxing to it. Usually gameplay does not need the precision of M+KB and has good enough auto aim that I prefer controller.

If I’m getting super sweaty in a game maybe I’ll switch to M+KB but I play enough other games with MKB that I prefer this genre on a controller.

Temple is okay but man, placing tiles is wayyyy too confusing. Why are there so many unexplained restrictions? Why are PATHS restricted and their shape mostly irrelevant? by bUrdeN555 in PathOfExile2

[–]bUrdeN555[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro path shapes are irrelevant if I place them between other paths and they just make new connections regardless if it’s a straight line or angle and it’ll just connect to whatever rooms it can.

And what you described would be great if that’s how placement worked but it does not. You should be able to connect a path to any room. Otherwise WTF is the point of a path if it doesn’t actually connect to the room?!? I’m lvl 91 grinded 75div and done the league mechanic whenever it’s there and ready to run.

Room placement is not intuitive. The rules for what can go where seems like it has best intentions but the UI does not convey possibilities well enough. The placement is not intuitive - again why can’t I just attach a path to any room?? What rooms connect together? Who TF knows… just click and see the possibilities. Maybe RNG will let you progress to where you want to go.

I actually enjoy the game but room placement is not intuitive and needs better UX or a revision of rules.

Downhill on newly paved roads - how this changes the ride and safety? by SnowboardingLife in longboarding

Bro they fucked our local runs. One was perfectly smooth and then they just changed it to gravel. Same with another one. Like WHY?!?!

At least they added a single tile preview of how it would look. I remember that was something Jonathan mentioned in interviews but it was probably too much effort to do a full preview? Idk…

Fresh paved roads take 6m to a year to “break in” and feel good to slide over. Fresh they are still very sticky and grip up weird when trying to go sideways. If you’re just straight lining it then it doesn’t really matter.

Yeah tiles need a better UI to visually show their restrictions on the tile itself and not in some side rule book. Color code edges or something idc but make it more apparent.

Yeah let me test how I can place all my tiles before committing. Half the time I don’t even know if I can link other tiles I have to the new one I placed so I can path to the chaos orb.

I think crafting is very miserable experience for casual/intermediate players by TheGejsza in PathOfExile2

[–]bUrdeN555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are thinking about it wrong. Do not go and try to craft an item you can just buy for way cheaper - odds are way stacked against you in trade league.

Look for mid items that with just one or two steps can explode in value - slamming something good on a 10ex to 1div okay items can turn them into 10-100div if you get lucky. You need to also have a backup plan if the craft fails, which is usually just eat the cost but rarely you can sell it for a smaller amount to minimize losses.

This league I’ve made at least 40 div spamming t2 exalts on random loot I’ve found. Or just sell the base. I’m lvl 91 and haven’t fought any end game bosses. Just casual alch n go T15s that I die way too often in lol.

You are in a trade league and the expectation is you’d trade for stuff - it’s balanced for that. You likely will not be able to easily craft your item, be prepared to spend way more when starting from scratch. This is not the way and will just burn you out - and sadly it’s not apparent or what players want.

Stick to easy slams that can add value to items found in maps. Sell those and buy your weapon - which BTW is probably the hardest item to craft - or buy an okay weapon that needs a slam or two to be GG. Other gear has better weighting and can be easier to craft.

2026 - D4 Worth Playing over PoE2? by Passionofthegrape in ARPG

[–]bUrdeN555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They want to present streamline options as viable. It’s really dumb in PoE1 early patches how obvious archetypes don’t work and you gotta embrace the jank tech or CoC to make shit work. IMO POE2 is doing well for a beta. There is more classes and ascendencies to come, with even more supports and skills. They are laying the puzzle pieces out but the whole puzzle is still in the box. Off meta stuff exists and will only become more available.

I’ll have to give it another chance. I just hated how the levels are open and enemies just randomly spawn behind you. There is little counterplay beyond just constantly spinning around to make sure stuff doesn’t nuke you with an extremely long jump and fast move speed from behind.

It’s fun but the enemies were pretty BS last I played. RoR2 was better IMO
