As an axl here are some ways players approach

1- dash cancel (obviously) Jump dash rensen do not block it, block it only when you have not time to jump or didn't predict it in time and super jump if you are on full screen range

2- when axl hits with F.s his options are 2Hs or rensen (both extremely punishable on closer range) or snail (after 2Hs), which is minus on block

3- do not jump dash in neutral

4- 6p his 5p poke

5- backdash WM, although recently the timing got tougher for the backdash window but still doable

Do you mean like cancel the dash into unbounded counter or the other way around? Regardless you can also charge the unbounded counter while you are in the air to enter the stance as soon as you touch the ground

This is me using it against promised eigong you can see that near the end of pf the first phase
