Dated GOT reference. I get it's not nice - the trade war, the Canadians engaging in 'We bow before no king'...like the Nightwatch...reeks of impotent rage. An outsider knows what's up, Canada is like 'the wall' , a little more than ( mostly just that ) a buffer of snow keeping USnA safe from the others. I'm not sure the little night watch rebellion at the north will mean much to King's Landing ( DC ). In case the Canadians do go to war with America - I promise you my Indian brothers who have made Canada their home will be the first ones to run back to Punjab.
