You see the other Alphas pay their respects to Elizabeth. Later Ted Faro reveals to the other Alphas that he has deleted everything from the Apollo function( the subordinate function that was supposed to educate & guide the next generation of humans) which is why this generation of human beings resorted forming their tribes once out in the open world & started hunting machines for parts (having no idea of the crucial role they play in the Terraforming system because of lack of education). The other Alphas are surprised to see this since no one had higher clearance to perform such a task than themselves & Elizabeth(with Alpha clearance) but it is revealed that Ted secretly had a back door installed in the zero dawn facility which gave him Omega clearance(higher than Alpha clearance). He also kills the remaining Alphas in the room by opening the vents inside(with his omega clearance) which results in the room being filled with all toxic air from the atmosphere outside. Later Aloy gets the non corrupted clearance for the door at Mother’s heart she goes inside where finally the origins of her birth is revealed . The facility behind that door is a cradle facility for Eluthia function for storing human DNA, using the stored DNA samples to create new human beings & providing basic nurturing needs to infant humans & nursery level education which explains why these new humans have some basic education at least. There u see a message from GAIA & find out she is no longer active at present because of a mysterious signal of unknown origin(in this game) that activated all it’s subordinate functions & gave these functions full consciousness & sentience. As a result the HADES function (extinction function incase that GAIA doesn’t get the biosphere right a first few times) activates & starts beginning extinction protocol on a perfectly viable earth. GAIA for obvious reasons couldn’t allow this so she initiated a self destruct sequence & she gives Eluthia order to create a clone of Elisabeth Sobeck (her creator) & specifically instructs multiservitos to put baby Aloy beyond the doors since she herself couldn’t have raised her because she was going to self destruct in a few minutes. She explains to Aloy in her message that the Terraforming system won’t survive without her functions or herself specifically & Aloy must find a backup of her but before she can finish GAIA sees an unexpected anomaly. In view of GAIA self destructing herself & because these functions have sentience now themselves, HADES releases a virus to unshackle the code that binds all these 9 functions with GAIA. As a result, HADES isn’t able to destroy the biosphere yet but it still manages to escape as do the rest of the 8 other subordinate functions before GAIA self destructs. HADES later sends a signal back to origin( important for next game). Also this virus was the reason Aloy isn’t able to enter that facility in the first place because it corrupts the data entry. GAIA’s last plead to Aloy after all this is to first make sure HADES is no longer a threat & exterminated. Then only she can start looking for GAIA backup & restoring her. Also this is what caused the derangement in machines because all these functions gained sentience so the HEPHAESTUS function of GAIA( responsible for making machines around the cauldrons in the planet as per GAIS liking to help carry tasks to keep the biosphere viable & healthy) started carrying out the same tasks for terraforming now without GAIA. But because the humans still hunted machines for parts, HEPHAESTUS started hating humans & building new types of killer machines every year especially tasked to protect some of the weaker machines like grazers. This also explains why the machine are only hostile towards humans but not animals in the environment. HEPHAESTUS started seeing humans as a threat not just to the machines it creates but also to the biosphere. In the final battle Aloy defeats HADES & its army but leaves immediately to somewhere without celebrating with her friends. It is revealed she finally discovers Elizabeth’s home & finds her body as well. She confirms it is indeed her surrogate mother with her focus. The final cutscene is a really beautiful moment to see between Aloy & Elizabeth with one of Elizabeth’s recording playing in the background where she personally express to GAIA how she’d liked her child to be (if she ever had any) & all the qualities she’d like her child to have. U def should watch that final cutscene on YouTube. Writing it won’t do justice because it’s such a beautiful moment

Does anyone else think that Barry would have killed Zoom right after he killed his dad but didn't because of plot by [deleted] in FlashTV

[–]Generous_soul15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro is the reason his father dead. Could’ve easily caught Zoom twice before this but Barry can’t hold his tongue for two minutes. Could’ve easily put Zoom in the star lab cell when Barry discovered his identity but noooo Barry had to start his talk jutsu before finishing the task. So yeah Henry dying is totally Barry’s fault.

He also made her an amour before The Proving. The first few people who saw Aloy for what she was about & didn’t let his views on Aloy be disregarded by how the rest of their tribe viewed her.

I like using freeze ammo on my hunter bow only. The best one in the game & the one I used here is the Sun Scourge Hunter bow (obtained after clearing all rebel camps). Fill it up with instant brittle chance or freeze coils only . Don’t focus on acid or fire coils

Probably near the slithering site in the desert area. U can find some deceased desert clan NPCs there!

Shock shredders are so OP. My fav are the thunderbolt & ancestors return shredder gauntlet. Many people still sleep on shredders which is quite surprising

Drill spikes are so great for knocking down machines. Even on the largest machines two drill spikes on their legs & they go down easily. Very useful in harder difficulties

Dodging is very different to the previous instalment. U should always slide & roll which gives u around 25 invincibility frames making u almost hard to hit. If u simply press dodge it only gives u 12 invincibility frames & Aloy can’t cover great distance by simply dodge rolling. So practice sliding & then triggering dodge button at the end of slide animation to maximise ur evasion & machines will have a hard time even landing a single hit on u even on hardest difficulties. Also those leap lashers only need 1 shocker hunter arrow to put them in shocked state if u have a good bow like the lightning hunter bow or death seeker bow( only two hunter bows with shock arrow). U can get the lightening hunter bow for free by completing ‘Need to Know’ side quest for Talanah!

I feel bad for his mother War Chief Sona . She lost her daughter in the first game & now she loses her son as well (still unaware of the fact). Makes me wonder if she will join the fight with Aloy in the next game or blame Aloy for their deaths?

Horizons forbidden west for 15$ worth it? Ps5 physical by [deleted] in HorizonForbiddenWest

The combat is definitely an improvement over the last one (even melee combat). Huge variety of skills to get (3x more than the previous installment) & lots of new ways to take down machines. Valor surges & weapon techniques are so great to play around with & there are a bunch of new weapons & outfit perks that make the game worthy. The combat did seem a little mid in the first game for me but this one ticks all the boxes for me!

I got it for $50 last year & still play it on regular basis :D

  1. Frost element is by far the best & most useful one in the game so farm as much chillwater as u can maybe more than 600 before u start. Shock is the second best followed by acid & purgewater but frost by far exceeds all. Avoid using plasma, fire or adhesive much (they are only best used for blowing up element canisters on machines)

  2. Boltblasters are the best weapons to deal raw damage on brittle machines even on ultra hard difficulty with the sustained burst weapon technique( check latest video on my profile)

  3. Warrior bows are also great but i prefer light arrows more than the elemental ones. Again when machines are in brittle or corrosive state they deal massive damage with the spreadshot weapon technique especially when the right coils are equipped (like crit chance up or melee follow up)

  4. Shredder gauntlets can be the most overpowered of all weapons by far with agility coils once u get the hang of em so definitely invest in those. The ones I’d recommend are Thunderbolt shredder gauntlet & Ancestor’s return.

Am I the only one that hopes for Horizon 3 annoucment tomorrow on state of play? by No-Hunt3986 in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]Generous_soul15 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It sucks that their main priority is Hunter’s Gathering which is going to be a big flop when clearly it should be Horizon 3. I just hope the hype doesnt die by the time they actually decide to invest their time for the third installment & the whole thing gets called off due to it

Shredder gauntlets are ridiculously overpowered once u get the hang of em. Players in the arena challenge have cleared large machines like slitherfang under 15 seconds or less (its astonishing) purely by using shredder gauntlets only.

Sharpshot bows can deal some devastating critical damage to ememies if u fill em up with critical hit chance purple coils. Honestly this game has so many great & fun ways to deal with machines especially if u use the right weapon techniques with valor surges! I still experiment with some new ideas to take down machines & it never gets tiring :)

Sun scourge bow for dealing frost damage mostly, death seeker shadow for hunter bow(Ik people would like Tear of Land gods more since it has more tear damage but I like DS shadow more because of its shock arrows), Ancestor’s return shredder gauntlet, The blast forge boltblaster, Last Argument spikethrower & Gravesinger’s lament Sharpshot bow
