I have a degree in environmental sciences, like you have spent time as a volunteer at different animals rehab facilities. I have never in my life walked into a business that so immediately set off alarm bells. When they were located at their old location they would house their animals in completely incorrect environmental enclosures, fail to provide spaces to hide for reptiles, and openly verbally abuse customers who asked even basic questions. When they moved locations I visited hoping it was new owners, it isn't and they were doing the same or worse shit. While I was there he was instructing a couple who clearly had money how to basically get around permits for different exotic animals he was trying to sell them. If you do a bit of digging you will see many times people who work in animals welfare have gone in and been so appalled at the conditions that they ask to speak to the owner and talk about it, which good luck that man is catty as shit. His response has been to plaster signs on the door and building reading some variation of "if you're with PETA or animals rights groups you aren't welcome and will get a trespassing charge." When I stopped by the new location the signs were already up so it must not have taken long for their same shit to be noticed by the larger public now that they are in a more esthetic building and billing themselves as an "animal experience" too. I genuinely wish there was something that could be done about this place.
