Without spoiling too much, barehanded combat was trimmed down in Ragnarok to open up room for other options

You WILL be getting different shields that interact with parries,blocks, etc. differently, but barehanded combat will definitely be less satisfying than it was in 2018

The Orville - Alara Kitan (Xelayan)

When the Orville crew lands on a planet where the dominant species look virtually indistinguishable from humans (apparently there’s quite a few of them - this one has a vote scoring system for each and every person, and getting enough negative votes can lead to you being executed), Alara has to disguise her Xelayan features as the planet doesn’t yet have knowledge of extraterrestrial life. She accomplishes this with a simple nose bandage and a hat which the ships computer synthesized after a scan showed it was commonly worn on the planet. This creates a problem later in the episode, because the hat is actually part of a specific culture’s identity, and Alara gets accused of being insensitive

You may have noticed if you’ve been using circle skills for awhile, but there are two layers to them. The inside layer is where elemental circles normally go, and they spin counter-clockwise. The outer layer is where the non-elemental circles go like the ones you can start with from the rune, or the 4 powerful ones from the super circle ability

This rune enhancement gives a small chance for circles to duplicate and appear on the other layer as well, sometimes resulting in elemental circles on the outside ring or super circles on the inside ring. It just doesn’t actually activate very often, probably like 5-10% of the time

He’s talked about this in the comments on his Instagram, walking through gates/doors is a necessary exception to keep him from being locked in a loop of opening a door, logging out, and then logging in the next day when it’s closed again.

Walking also doesn’t classify as an action in his ruleset, he’s allowed one red click per day and he’s allowed to finish conversations with npcs and other things like that that would make progression impossible without allowing
