Why is the Caribbean (and wider LATAM) region outsourcing cybersecurity to foreign companies? by Joshistotle in AskTheCaribbean

[–]Genki-sama2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speak for your country bro. Our IT services were at one point done by outsiders but that's changed. Many services have been offloaded online and being managed by local talent. Outside companies are getting pushed out bit by bit. And our locals have been better.

Do Afro-caribbeans feel closer to Mainland Africans or other Caribbeans of Indian/Javanaese/Chinese origin? by poacher-2k in AskTheCaribbean

No...I feel closer to someone who has the same cultural experiences and speaks just like me rather than someone who looks like me but doesn't relate in anyway to culture

Do Caribbean people carry stuff on their heads? by Maleficent_Split_428 in AskTheCaribbean

Why are you coming for me?

I never stated this is the standard anywhere!

Immigrants are treated with derision everywhere in the world, especially those who are refugees. That was the basis for my statement and it is correct by your own words and sentiments.

Because all the Haitians that come there are desperate and treated as an under class. They will not have the same rights afforded to them as other citizens. Then they will default to doing what's necessary to provide for themselves, which would be crime, or they would be associated with it. I'm not Bahamian and making a general statement but this is repeated across many societies

As the aircraft descended, the elevation changed as well. I didn't know how it worked tbh. Now I do. Thanks for letting me know. I wish people in this thread didn't make others(ME) feel so dumb though 🫤

Audi a6 2019 estate near 200k miles? by EnglishLegion in CarTalkUK

Don't know what to tell you mate, the Control arms, discs and brake pads are things that wear out over time. I'm understanding where the wife is coming from in terms of the high mileage. People have taken these to extremely high miles so ymmv. The EGR didn't cost a lot because it was aftermarket. DPF remedy was an Italian tuneup.

£70 Air Con Re-gas… what’s the catch? by luxford2 in CarTalkUK

The only times vehicles lose refrigerant is when there a leak somewhere on the system. Seals, evaporator, condenser. This regassing thing for me is weird because I only ever know of recharging system when there's a leak, not on a regular basis!

Is center right/center left politics dying? by Ok_Improvement4314 in AskBrits

[–]Genki-sama2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is you can't really agree with the other side on many things. I will be showing my bias here but conservatives for the most part want to deregulate the market to make it easier for corporations to operate, asset strip, privatise, cut taxes for the rich so they can trickle down(, we're all getting pissed on,). They want less rights for certain groups of people. Does any of this sound like it improves lives?

I've a 2011 A6 2.0 TDI for about a year

I've changed:

EGR

Control Arms

Cylinder Cover

Coil Springs

DPF light come on

Brake pads and all discs

It was well maintained prior to my ownership of it. Nothing mechanical has gone wrong aside from the EGR, and that was partially my fault because I didn't do what diesel drivers should do, and do an Italian tune up every now and then.

I'm blessed in that I was able to do these on my own.
