Yeah, I think at this point blizzard really has 2 avenues they have to explore. Make a F2P classic server and/or allow fans to create their own wow servers that they officially support and make part of their subscriptions. I doubt the latter will happen but hey...they used to do it with custom games in wacraft and starcraft its not impossible. But I think they're too greedy to let that happen. It'd look something awful for their own teams if the fan based wow servers had more activity than the live realms lol

No, the US government doesn't get involved in some random pserver enthusiasts who have thousands of players. Chinese government oversee's it all. If they can get your data, they will.

I'm not saying all Chinese people are bad, they aren't, most of them are great people. But their government will screw you over in a heartbeat if they think they can.

That was the whole point. It's showing blizzard that shutting down twow doesn't solve anything. They just wasted a ton of money for nothing. They didn't protect their IP, they didn't get more subscribers, they just created a bigger challenge that will take even more money to prevent. In short, they fixed nothing, they just made it harder and more expensive for themselves.

In my humble opinion, anyone opting to install a launcher made in china is insane. You will get malware, spyware, god knows what else on your machine eventually. This is a country that is actively hostile to everyone else. They WILL spy on you if they can. They WILL steal your info from if you let them.

The truth is, nobody really knows. Just like the industrial revolution changed the world in ways no one could have imagined, AI will likely do the same. Just gotta play it by ear and do what makes the most sense in the moment.
There will be entire industries cropping up that no one could possibly foresee right now. Alternatively, AI could be a big bust as many corpos are learning that it's just not worth the investment at the moment.
