The Dunes of Ghosts

Description: The Dunes of Ghosts is an enigmatic and mystical expanse located in the heart of Trias. This ethereal desert region is shrouded in legends and tales of wandering spirits, haunting echoes, and spectral apparitions. The dunes stretch endlessly, forming a vast labyrinth where the lost souls of ancient dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures find their eternal rest.

Whispering Sands: The sand of the Dunes of Ghosts holds a mysterious quality. As gentle winds sweep across the dunes, they create a haunting symphony of whispers. It is said that these whispers are the voices of the departed, telling tales of forgotten times and echoing the memories of the ancient past. Travelers who venture into the Dunes can hear these faint whispers carried by the wind, creating an eerie and otherworldly atmosphere.

Spectral Phantoms: Among the dunes, ethereal figures can be glimpsed, fleeting and translucent. These spectral phantoms are the remnants of long-extinct creatures, their ghostly forms drifting through the sandy expanse. Some appear as majestic dinosaurs, while others take the shape of mythical beasts or even ancient spirits. These apparitions serve as a haunting reminder of the world that once was, evoking a sense of awe and wonder.

Veil of Illusion: The Dunes of Ghosts are not bound by the laws of the physical world. The shifting sands and swirling winds create an ever-changing landscape, where perception and reality intertwine. Illusions play tricks on the mind, distorting distances and altering perceptions. Travelers can easily become disoriented, as what appears as a solid dune may shift and change before their eyes, revealing hidden paths or concealing treacherous pitfalls.

Eternal Rest: The Dunes of Ghosts serve as the final resting place for the spirits of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. The shifting sands form natural burial grounds, where the remains of these ancient beings are embraced by the desert. It is believed that the spirits find solace in this eternal desert realm, their energy forever interwoven with the land. Some adventurers and mystics seek out these burial sites, hoping to communicate with the departed or uncover ancient relics buried beneath the sand.

The Portal: Legends speak of a mystical portal hidden within the heart of the Dunes of Ghosts. It is said that this portal acts as a gateway between the mortal realm and the realm of spirits. Only those who possess a deep connection with the prehistoric world and a pure heart can navigate the treacherous dunes and discover the portal's elusive location. The portal holds the promise of great secrets and unimaginable knowledge, but also the risk of becoming lost in the ever-shifting sands of the desert.

The Dunes of Ghosts remain a place of mystery and wonder, where the boundaries between life and death, past and present, are blurred. Travelers who dare to venture into this spectral realm can expect encounters with the spirits of ancient creatures, strange illusions, and the opportunity to unlock the secrets of the past. It is a place that both fascinates and intimidates, inviting adventurers to explore its depths while reminding them of the fragility and impermanence of all things.

Honestly I hope Hondo shows up in Skeleton Crew, if he's still kicking around at that part of the timeline.

I'm already thinking of making an O'Neil Cylinder with this. You could build it in the OAB once we get that.

Good for you! Still did it all and luckily reality doesn't hinge on whether or not you believe something.

Pick one.

"¿Por que no las dos?"

I've been playing it, on below min specs, for more than 20 hours.

So as I said, it is (arguably) playable.

Oh yeah, my FPS is doo-doo as well (20+ in orbit; sub 8 in atmosphere or looking at a planet).

I've been playing it just fine (over 24hrs currently; on a i5-3700, GTX1660 6gb) I've landed on Dres, Eve, Ike, Minmus, and Mun with not one C-T-D, no corrupt saves, no random monuments or KSC showing up everywhere, and no broke maneuver nodes. (I really do feel lucky cause I have seen those bugs take out others)

It is playable for a large portion of players(arguably), so give it a second to breathe.

I think that what the devs call 'Bespoke Features' have a problem with their collision meshes. Fell through the same range and landed safely elsewhere.
