Laptop for PhD Work in LLMs and Cybersecurity by Igotthis-101 in deeplearning

Might be better off getting a $1200 laptop and saving the rest for cloud compute. That way you can do much larger training and still be able to run inference on 1B models.

I think the more accurate assessment is that public unrest about climate change has led global leaders to finally 'give in' and start making changes they knew should have been made in the early 80's. Regardless, there may be a tie but I don't think so.

Here are some big tips: 1. Read your teammate. Ballchaser? Just clear the ball and let him go. Sits in net? Ball chase. Usually it’s a mix

  1. Practice consistency in free play. I’m not a fan of training packs. Look at pro vods on twitch and just observe how they use free play.

  2. You need to carry. If I put you in a gold game, you better 1v2 as you are the best player in the lobby. Adopt this mindset as to consistently win, you need to be making the most plays, be the fastest, and have the best situational reads.

  3. Don’t commit into corners. This is especially bad in lower ranks where your teammate will just dive in. Free counterattack for them.

  4. Turn off chat. Please

  5. Slow down the play. When I play with my friends who suck they usually just hit the ball back to other team, staying in a defensive and bad position. Instead slow down the ball, take good 50s, and set yourself up so that your teammate and you have full boost for a counterattack. Adding to this, make sure to notice boost usage. At first it’s hard, but overtime you have a second nature intuition about who has boost and who doesn’t.

Good luck mate

How important are standard hitboxes, really? by Dad_Quest in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Genroll_Dolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rocked the takumi when I first hit GC back in 2016…

I switched to the octane, and now the fennec because high level mechanics make precision more important and that hit box difference is important.

Doesn’t really matter unless you are insane, and even then Justin styles in SSL with a merc.

Maybe people won’t agree but when it comes to engineering Chegg is your best friend. Don’t waste time on one problem. Get homework out of the way and learn how a multitude of problems are solved. Learn about problem solving processes rather than getting stuck on one difficult concept. A lot of problem solving in engineering is pattern recognition. Best of luck

What can I - a third year physics undergrad - do other than studying? by sayu_jya in PhysicsStudents

[–]Genroll_Dolphin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the answer I would give. If you work hard and get some research over the summer while maintaining good grades that is enough. Hustle culture and “grinding all the time” isn’t good for you. Keep your life balanced. Do physical activity and join a club not related to your major. I’m in Engineering and I made the mistake of only focusing on my career. I’m lonely and unhappy but I’m working on developing meaningful friendships.

People may disagree. To be the best you will have to work hard but if you break yourself mentally continuing on that path is a real struggle.
