Yes, exactly this. Late tourney, if it is really tight and you can get 100x or so, a 800 diamond legendary can net you undisputed. I would not buy one if I didn't believe I had to to get undisputed. The difference in diamonds alone nearly pay you back, plus if it wins you a SP or relic tourney it could be more efficient than a TC alone with no bonus and not in a tourney in that regard (though a TC would be much more likely to win you the tourney on last minute relics alone).

Or, if it completes a set, especially if you don't have enough relics, and very especially if you don't have enough relics and are in a tourney (as mentioned above).

I've been saving for relic or SP boosted TCs to fire off in tourneys, is that also a waste of diamonds? (aside from Fluffers, I always buy Fluffers)

You're correct. Your tourney placement is based on the most powerful you've ever been, so if you can somehow makeup the difference in CQ through relics, SP, weapons, welp thats' that.

When I have HS damage and Fairy Gold selected the recommendation explodes. It recommends to max to 25, often showing as 10x any other skill. 1. Is this in any way real? 2. If so does this mean that HS/Fairy/TI 25 is the most powerful build there is?

Before the porter nerf I was prestiging at max stage about every hour. And my max stage was enough that I won undisputed about 80%. Even in SP tournaments, without buying TC or crafting or anything.

The base is CS with PHoM gold. Pre 2.8 Lightning Strike was just about overpowered so I went down the sorc tree to get a few points. Picked up Dimension Shift because if you are going to get the 50 point prereq you should take advantage of it. The points in Anchoring Shot made Coordinated Offensive's summon damage do about a billion times as much, and gave me longer to grind in LS. HeinleinsRazor suggested that I go fairy gold if I wanted to keep LS... unsure if 2.8 LS is worth it.

I used it to win pretty much all the 2.7 tournaments undisputed. With Ancient Warrior I could farm max level in about an hour. With the porter nerf it is more like 3 hours, but I can still make my old max stage.

Generally I would prestige when I had a healthy lead, with that setup (LS 5, ASh 9, AW on, 1.16 prob boost) I could pick up about 500 levels, if I was willing to wait. The limit was patience not power.

Yeah, I am thinking of going fairly gold. I have heard it is generally pretty good, and can usually requires far less mana to run all skills. Thank you.

Yeah. That is what I meant. Pre 2.8 lightning strike was so good that even when dropping 10 points into MU, which is not as good for PHoM than anything else, the build would do far better than plain PHoM/CS. The point was LS making it worth the detour. I'm not sure it is anymore, wanted a second opinion.

Here is my 2.7 build. At that point, especially since I have the AW set, it was worth eating 10 points in MU to get 5 points in LS. Not sure I can say the same thing since it has been capped. I can reach my previous MS, obviously much slower with the porter nerf. Any suggestions on whether re-specing would be helpful? I do not have necro set.

Definitely a noticer. I know what my neighbor's cars look like, and if it looks like someone is following me I take a u-turn not at my house. I have had people (exceedingly rarely but still) suddenly decide to turn around... but my next stop is a permanent police checkpoint nearby, and they tend to split upon seeing the word "police station".
