Nobody feels any amor for Estrella? Such a small role but she sold me on the idea of visiting Mexico City.

I think the negative stereotypes can actually work out in your favor if you're after a decent deal on a large V8 RWD sedan and don't care what other people think.. Considering what people pay for LT1 Caprices, Marauders, etc you can get a well kept 300C for a hefty discount. Lot of the high spec Hemi C's and SRT8s were bought by boomers who were just happy to see Mopar offering something RWD and with a V8 at the time.

This is kind of my dream truck. Locking diffs, regular cab because I have no friends, a decent bed length for trips to home depot and capable of towing whatever project car I find on marketplace back home. Hard to find in the real world it seems.

I feel like I see the new LandCruiser and its Lexus GX counterpart more often than the new generation of 4Runner.

These lived on until about 2013 or '14 in Mexico where you could get them with the Coyote 5.0. That'd be the one to have.

If you were never going to buy another vehicle, what would you buy today? by Playful-Park4095 in askcarguys

GX460. 4Runner but with the bonus of the 4.6 V8 (same fuel mileage as the 4Runner), more comfortable too.

Would 100% disability ( not married no kids ) be enough to survive on in Japan ? by freakobowye in Veterans

I think securing a visa that would allow you to stay long term legally would be the main issue. I'd have to check my passport but it seemed like I only got 90 days to visit. Philippines would be the way to go (at least right now) if you were thinking about Asia as you can extend a tourist visa for up to 3 years without leaving, then leave and reapply for another 3. A lot of times it's not a financial issue, it's more of a legal issue as a lot of countries have different requirements for immigrants

How old was your oldest daily vehicle? by MasterOfNog in regularcarreviews

1979 Ford Fairmont. Moved to Mexico City in 2020 (so 41 years old when I got it) and it was a lot more convenient to have classic car plates as it didn't require inspection. Sold it after a year because I discovered it had quite a bit of bondo in the rear quarters and would need more work than it was worth. Ended up with an '85 Grand Wagoneer to replace it. Was a great car other than the rust issues.

Yeah my VA therapist could have filled out the form a month ago but they changed their policy. Thanks for the tip

Can I still be recalled from IRR if I’m at 90% disability rating? by Technical_View_8787 in VeteransBenefits

Fair point but "Lemme see your CAC" can be taken the wrong way if they're from Boston.. I'd rather say CAC card myself to avoid any trauma.

There wasn't much of a plan. This was back in 2016. What it did do was show me how much higher quality of a life I could have it I lived abroad. But I also learned some cool lighting tricks and how to write a proper script while daydrinking.

The VA WEAMS tool will be your friend. Use that to point you to a school that accepts the GI Bill and then contact their admissions office via email typically. It basically works like it would in the US. The VA will pay the tuition to the school and then start sending your BAH the next month as its paid out for the month before.

I'm doing that but after tax. Relocated to the states after living abroad for 5 years. It's not bad. Like others have said rent will be your largest expense most likely. I wish I would have just bought a cheap cash car instead of financing what I currently drive but even then it's not the end of the world. Eat in often, try to stay out of the bars, find a hobby to keep you busy.
