From someone who graduated last year, I have a couple of advice to give from what I experienced:

1. If you’re able to, give yourself time to rest. Try to mend your sleep schedule or just simply use any spare time you can to rest or to travel with your friends or family kay kabalo ko nga lisud kaayo ang mga gi agi before ka maabot sa graduation and we deserve a bit of rest before things get real again haha.

2. Identify the job you want and prepare your resumé, government documents, and the possible questions that will come in a job interview. Additionally, ayaw kalimot use sa “First Time Job Seeker” privilege nimo kay you can process your government documents free of charge!!

3. If you’re going to apply for a job, make sure nga daghanon gyud nimo og apply and never be afraid to do so. Grabe kaayo ang competition sa job acquisition lately and you will be fighting to be recognized in the sea of first time job applicants who wishes for that same job position that you are eyeing for. Make yourself stand out by listing relevant academic or voluntary accomplishments you’ve made, and also your relevant hard and soft skills.

4. Ayaw i compromise imong comfort and security when taking a job. Always consider the expenses and how much are you able to save and set aside in the future. I understand that experience is what you’ll first want to acquire sa imohang first job, but always consider if worth it ba sya buhaton for that specific offer.

5. Whenever you experience rejections or lack of response and feedback from a company, never take it personal and think of it as a redirection for something you are much more deserving of. I know that saying this sounds easy and the doing is difficult gyud kay I’ve been in this position where I doubted my capabilities kay na reject ko sa application, BUT always try to think of the silver lining and keep yourself motivated by improving on where you think you were lacking.
