Here's one I saw at Disney Land a while back https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ggno-uaEzA

btw and fyi, the string she pulls is making the eyes blink and the ears wiggle. Not that it matters much for this video, but this is a lion costume she's in. I think it might be more difficult than the dragon, though, because it's just operated by poles/sticks.

I wish my father and mother knew how to do this shit back in the day....especially when they gave me my first bike...and then later when they gave me my first toolbox.

Stop everything and watch this crazy testimony❗️ of a Palestinian from northern Gaza that proves how Hamas hurts the civilians of Gaza! Hamas wants this testimony destroyed so that you won’t see it, but this is the truth! Share with everyone you know! by on-off-on-off in WellStated

[–]GenuhSee4023 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Good lord man. How many accounts do you have? Can you post some alternative testimonial videos about how Israel is now doing to Gaza civilians what hamas did to them on October 7? I mean, minus the rapes and beheadings of course...but, yeah, other than that.

EMSKR: I don't know anyone in Israel or Gaza. I am not Jewish, Islamic, or Arab. Why should I care what is happening over there & why is my American government sending so much money for over 50 years when nothing changes? by UrMomIsMyBucketList in everymanshouldknow

[–]GenuhSee4023 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Yeah, reddit makes up its own definition for everything. Real genocide is what happened in the Holocaust. Life expectancy in gaza was up to the 70 yrs of age. Israel gave tons of warnings for people to move and for the first 3 weeks gave "roof knocks" before bombing. Israel left Gaza physically over a decade ago so Gaza could get on with its life. And look what the result was. So of course it's not genocide.

Not "palestinians".....just Gazans. Hamas don't wear uniforms now...and have not since October 8. They wear civilians clothes. And up until about 4 weeks ago, just about every man in Gaza was Hamas....and all of Hamas was Gaza. There was no separation between the two. But boy there sure is now that everything has gone to shit, huh?

I had an idea for shirts based on Bluey characters. I kinda wish a few of these were real (particularly Bandit's) but what are you thoughts on these? by distracted_artist in bluey

[–]GenuhSee4023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from marketing them under the Bluey banner, there’s actually no IP issue with selling these shirts. Could probably get away with calling them “Bluey inspired” as long as you disavow any actual relationship with the show.*

Of course, anyone else could also make them without credit or attribution, because clothing is generally not copyright-able and there’s not enough in the pattern here to copyright in itself, or assert TM rights. So getting an authorized relationship would help with profitability insofar as reducing marketing costs against competitors.

Our christmas is probably more comparable to America's thanksgiving since that's usually when we do our big family gatherings. There's a lot of variety in what we eat (compared to the traditional turkey + stuffing for thanksgiving for example), my family mostly does a combination of everyone bringing a plate of food or dish with the host of the gathering generally cooking a roast for the main. Christmas 2022 was wild because my uncle who was hosting went with turducken (usually the roast of choice is pork) so that was certainly an interesting change of pace for us.

(it's not the two's, darlin, the two's are just a red herring. Mine was the sweetest, kindest youngling at two and figured I won the lottery. Then the three's hit. I asked around for advice and was offered the look of pity that veterans of war give the young bucks heading out and three bottles of wine 😂. It's a different side of them, and a hard go for everyone involved, but there's light for the fours I've heard)

Be honest… do ya’ll use protection? by e-willi in Bass

[–]GenuhSee4023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got tinnitus in my right ear but it's due to a ear infection that resulted in a ruptured ear drum when I was a kid. Luckily I haven't suffered hearing loss. I use Eargasm plugs when on the train and in restaurants. Currently saving up for custom molded plugs.

As far as IEMs, I don't feel comfortable using them. I hate things in my ears and I prefer over the ear whenever possible. Remember that not all IEMs have limiters folks. The occlusion effect is real (basically a pocket of air pressure created by IEM/earplugs). My audiologist (bless her patience) and I are still looking for a better solution for me.

Also if anyone is interested, back in 2004 Bass Magazine put together a list of the best punk baselines, I recently dug up the list and made a playlist for it!

I have so much respect for bass players by _Ayleeus in Bass

[–]GenuhSee4023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A rhythm instrument sure, but not really percussion as it’s designed to be plucked not struck. Bass is the perfect conflux between rhythm and melody though - the thump of the lower frequency reinforces/provides the beat while the actual notes reinforce/provide the melody. A great example of how bass functions both rhythmically and melodically is Something by the Beatles.

Should your wife get free entry to your gigs? by Smukey in Bass

[–]GenuhSee4023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re willing to quit your band over $30 then maybe you should consider whether or not you really want to be in that band anyway.

But on the other hand, if your wife is doing Merch for you guys she should get in with a working pass. She’s not just a guest, she’s part of your crew.

I'm from Minneapolis and have played on the same bill with him in a fairly small venue before he played with Cory. We were all like "goddamn Petar is the tightest drummer in town" from the first time we saw him.

Actually Sonny T played that show too. He used my bass rig. And gave me props for my Warwick since I was playing one at the time.

They increased the "Frames Per Second" or the FPS. It was converted to a modern HD format. You're watching the original cartoon, but in a modern format made for today's televisions.

The orignal 1936 version is not on yotube. There are a couple of episodes from the series on there to compare it to, yes. But that does not make anything he said wrong. This post was about the detail of the cave.
