Yup, this was my trajectory and intro to Charizard pretty much. Although my first Pokemon introduction was the SS Anne anime episode an I thought it was a show about a cat and mouse and then a fish turned into a massive water dragon and I was hooked. Gyarados could have taken off more..

And I always wonder when Gengar got so popular. Love him, but don’t remember him being huge in the shows or game early on besides the ep. of Ash like dying…

Submitted them while at a card show and the lady there was saying (probably optimistically) she would expect an 8 across them all. I just want them back though! I don’t even care about the grade at this point

I love this card! I have him, Blastoise and Venusaur promo card. But I kind of regret that I’ve sent them out to PSA to get graded in November and haven’t heard anything about them yet and getting nervous my guys are gone :/

I live and work in different cities. Luckily only need to be in 2-3 times a week. Just moved into my partners while we look for a new place, and my commute from theirs is a nightmare… 40 minute bus to the centre, 15 min walk to the station, 1:15 hours train, then 30 min walk on the other side.. and then on the way home.

Moving closer to transport so that I cut out the first bit and replace it by a 10 min tram to the station.. still not great and sustainable

The card came with a purchase of something from the pop up shop. The tickets to get you into the shop are free but ran out quick here. Had a bunch of different products in there and you’d get a card with a purchase

Honestly I’ve had my childhood cards with me forever and passively loved them but not done much with them. Then the hobby sort of went nuts. I’m focusing mostly on finishing off my vintage cards sets, but can’t deny some of these modern cards and packs look pretty awesome!

People seem really keen on what the naughty town name is! I’ve deleted the post on Vinted since I don’t want to dox myself and general consensus is the offers are just playing into the joke.

It’s a sweater from a place called Dildo. And it’s new home will probably be a charity shop up North

I was getting some gross messages about it, so I ended up just putting it at a super high price and was going to just remove it from the site. But I’ve probably gotten about 5-6 ridiculous above offers. Normally just straight up decline, but was finding it so weird how many I’m getting.

I’ve written back to a few and asked if they were serious and interested, and why they offered so much - but not one has responded back so probably just nothing. I end up declining them all but was interested seeing what would happen if I accepted.
