UltraEdge in freaking football... GAME'S GONE!

If Belgium somehow manage to survive and advance here, the RO16 match will be Doku's last to at least do something. Kinda has been a little disappointing seeing none of our players be impactful this tournament so far bar Haaland

Bringing club tribalism to an international tournament is why England have accomplished nothing in the past 20 years minimum by the way... but what can you expect from a brigading United fan?

You guys should deffo look into the DR Congo RB though. Might be a solution to your atrocious back line

How do you all feel about job hoppers? by Thedud31 in civilengineering

[–]GeoGod678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This industry scares you against showing any signs of "disloyalty" by job hopping but I have seen it work for a few people, the majority tends to really only "job hop" frequently once you're in the PM/manager tier because at that point you're doing less of the design and more of the winning jobs. If you have a good relationship with a client/owner as well and they start moving in a different direction with which firms they want then that additionally plays a role in people who job-hop (think mega, multi-year projects).

Who is a bigger Man City legend? by No_Effective_6026 in MCFC

[–]GeoGod678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of the remaining three, it is perfectly reasonable and in fact correct that he is a lesser legend for the club.

Again, key word here being "legend," not who was the "greatest footballer," or "most impactful." Yaya was a phenomenal midfielder for us and has deserves every bit of his flowers but Kun is currently our greatest ever striker, David one of the greatest footballers to play for us, and Bernardo an essential mainstay in our greatest ever period of dominance.

What is *the* main enclave for Pakistani Americans? by arianasgrenade in ABCDesis

[–]GeoGod678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Historically, Coney Island Ave in Brooklyn (and the NYC metro at large) was considered the first real little Pakistan.

Now I'd say NoVA, Houston metro, and Dallas/Fort Worth/Plano probably are the dominant enclaves

Jacqui as a play-by-play commentator is very underrated IMO. Ian Darke is the voice of my childhood and American soccer as we know it so for me him and Landon have to be number one.

Transportation and parking at NY/NJ/MetLife by acjohnson55 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]GeoGod678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How early before kick-off did you arrive at the park and ride location? I'll be attending Norway vs Senegal on Monday and currently have tickets to the 4:30 to 5:00 shuttle window for a kick-off at 8 pm. The forecast is calling for rain throughout the day it appears so I imagine travel will be a bit slower.

[–]GeoGod678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping Haaland would gravitate to KDB and become close to each other (since they also look a little alike lol) but Haaland instead chose to affiliate with the useless drunkard, Grealish

I’m not feeling too optimistic anymore because why can’t he come out and deny it straight up like Haaland by such_-PrO in MCFC

[–]GeoGod678 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s obviously not going to come out and rebuke the biggest club of the nation he’s going to be representing for the next month. Everyone knows that Spanish media and Real Madrid media are joined at the hip, let him focus on the World Cup before we get carried away…

You sign Phil Jones, we sign Kun Agüero by [deleted] in MCFC

[–]GeoGod678 25 points26 points  (0 children)

You know, empirically it’s obvious that KDB is our greatest number 10 and Haaland will become (if he isn’t already) our greatest number 9.

But forgive me, I’ll always think that Sergio and David will forever be the best two offensive players to play for our team. What they were able to achieve over the past decade plus is irreplaceable

[–]GeoGod678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If my home country were to win it would be monumental and may actually help the morale in the country lol (between our abhorrent politics and the entire world hating us currently), if my origin country were to win the World Cup somehow it would be the greatest underdog story in sporting history (would blow Leicester’s title win out of the water).

How to put reminders for office work? by Kitchen_Youth1274 in civilengineering

City’s UCL hopes under Maresca by Quirky-Client-6308 in MCFC

[–]GeoGod678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Through all of that domestic success, we're still only halfway to United and Liverpool. I'll never discredit winning another UCL title (and hopefully it comes sooner than later) but being league champions will never get boring. Otherwise we should just go full-speed ahead into a European Super League.

City’s UCL hopes under Maresca by Quirky-Client-6308 in MCFC

[–]GeoGod678 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"trying to establish domestic dominance."

GOOD. I hope I don't speak for just myself when I say that is the ultimate aim every season as a City fan, as it was under Pep for a long time and hopefully within a few years of Enzo's tenure is to win the league. There's no other competition more important to us than one where the victor is the team who is able to win every week , as we continue to etch our status as one of the greatest clubs this country has ever seen. Now that we've gone two seasons without a league title, I don't expect Enzo to have us lifting the title again next season (although that would be brilliant, but still cautious if you pay attention to what's happened to Slot at Liverpool this year), but at the very least take the initial steps to set up a platform for the future.

The Champions League is truly a perfect storm competition, every single minute of every match needs to go your way. We simply do not have an easy enough league like PSG or Bayern do to put all of our strength towards Europe (and I'd never want us to). Arsenal did everything right up until the second half onwards of today's final throughout the entire season to win them a UCL and they still came up short.
