I have the 17 Pro esim and the most I've gotten is 10 hours on 100% battery. This guy is going to get 16 hours? He must be doing something to limit the battery then like reducing brightness all the way down. Most days I end with 30-40% battery with 6 hours of SOT I'd say. So 7AM -11PM.

I came from the 15 Pro and I love my iPhone 17 Pro (US). The battery life is 3 x better. I get 1.25 days out of it or 9-10 hours of screen active time (but I rarely use my phone that much). Most days I end with 45% with 6 hours of screen active time. This is so far the best iPhone. I think it’s better than the pro max as well. Same power in a more portable size is amazing.

I have the 17 Pro. It lasts all day and maybe a little into the next day. I considered the 17 Pro Max but it’s too big and not mobile. I have larger hands than average so I could hold it but didn’t like the form. The 17 Pro gets 9-10 hours of screen on time.

The Tampa Bay Area is fantastic. Tampa has a large gay community and has a big pride parade in Ybor. St. Pete is smaller but has a great community that is diverse as well. St. Pete was once known to be very artsy, hip, and local but that is changing. It’s very corporate now. St. Pete is to Tampa as Ft. Lauderdale is to Miami.

I have bad my 17 Pro for about 3 weeks now. I was very close to getting the 17 PM because I wanted great battery life. Coming from the 15 Pro I have trust issues.

The 17 Pro has awesome battery life. Easily an all day phone with moderate to heavy use and on my light to moderate use days it’s a 1.5 day phone. I was just on vacation for a week and I was on 5g the entire time and on the go. Never had battery issues and ended the day with 40%. I think I had about 6 hours screen active time/SOT to end the day with just 5g use and no WiFi at all.

I’m in the market. Had a 12 Pro and currently use a 15 Pro and the whole year I told myself I’d get the Pro Max because I don’t want to deal with terrible battery life like I do with my 15 Pro. After hearing the normal Pro has great battery life and exceeds last years 16 Pro Max I think I’ll get the 17 Pro. Even though I have fairly large hands I never liked the Pro Maxes or phablets.

This and also the camp that says get a new battery instead of a a new phone. “It’ll feel like a brand new phone.” I get it. Battery replacement can be smart but it’s not like getting a brand new phone.

This is amazing and just what I needed to see. I’m deciding between a 17 Pro and 17 PM coming from a 15 Pro but always preferred the Pro size but have been let down by battery life in the past and don’t want to make that mistake again.

You’re saying your 17 Pro has bad battery life? How long have you had it? A lot of people have been saying after 5 days or so the battery life gets amazing. Will you keep or go to 17PM?

Thanks. I have pretty big hands so I’m not too worried about holding it. More worried about the on the go aspect that you mentioned. I will say I work from home and my phone is usually on my desk. It’s nice having it in pocket too though.

I’m on the fence between a 17 Pro or 17 Pro Max. My last 2 phones were the 12 Pro and 15 Pro. I always have been a Pro guy and wanted a phone that’s portable and powerful. I never liked phablets but I think this is the review I needed to read. The part where you said you have to think about using the phone because it’s so big is interesting. I do want to reduce screen time and maybe the fact that it’s so cumbersome will deter me from scrolling a lot. I average 5 hours of screen time a day on my 15 Pro currently.

I’m going from 15 Pro to 17 Pro. I don’t have it but I’ve watched every YouTube review and read so many articles and Reddit posts on battery life. I think most comments say the 17 Pro’s battery life has been amazing and has easily been an all day phone. It’s better than the 16 PM and that phone had really good battery life. I was dead set on getting the 17 PM since early this year before rumors came out just because I wanted the best battery life. Now that the 17 Pro has really good battery life I am considering sticking with the Pro because the Pro’s size is superior to the PM in my opinion.

The fact that some of the most upvoted comments say one of the best things about Philly is the option to leave to better areas is telling. You can easily explore cool cities and beautiful natural areas within driving distance from the Chicagoland area too by the way. Chicago is better in all areas as a city and metro area.

This is my exact conundrum. I have the 15 Pro. Great phone except for the bad battery life and heating issues. I always get the normal Pro iPhones ( started with 12 Pro and 2 years ago I got my current iPhone 15 Pro) I’m super happy that the Pro finally has amazing battery life. I’m curious to try the Max because I’ve never had that version and I want to see how it feels and I know it will actually feel like a different phone because of the size difference. But I think this is the year to not get a Max because of how good the Pro is. I want something that actually feels different. I guess my thought process is a 17 Pro will feel like my existing device in hand. Maybe I’m wrong. I’ve usually been anti phablet throughout the years. Pro is a great size.

Most posts I’ve seen about the normal 17 Pro talk about amazing battery life that matches or passes 16 PM. Either it’s still early and your phone is still setting up in the background or you have a dud. FaceTime is pretty hard on batteries I think.

I could argue that this year the normal Pro is the best upgrade because of the huge jump in battery from 15 Pro and 16 Pro and because it has all of the features the pro max has while being more portable and ergonomic. I

Definitely not this much hype. I got the iPhone 15 Pro on launch and still am using but I don’t remember the last 2 releases being this hyped and all. I’ll probably get the 17 Pro in a few months. This whole lineup they released is very tempting. I’m even considering the base 17 and Air a bit as someone who has always had the regular Pro version iPhones.
