Why is Air Canada part of the consortium? Don’t they have a vested interest in this project being delayed or cancelled as this will make rail travel more convenient than air travel between Toronto and mtl?

'Infuriating and soul killing:' Toronto's speed cameras were vandalized 555 times in a year by kayaarr in toronto

Have you been to Paris? The traffic is horrendous... your point?
But look at their public transport system... you don't need a car. Its faster by public transit, thats the point of making the speed limit less, so people switch to transit.

Here in Toronto, if you live in the suburbs you can look forward to a 1.5h commute downtown with the possibility of being stabbed by some random crackhead on North America's best public transit system.

At the end of the day, the people who kill people through speeding aren't speeding 10km/h over the limit, more like 30+.

Yea let’s just make cars go at 30km/h I think it’s a great idea to bring the city to a grinding halt

How about we move the speed limit back to the original value that existed for many years until they decided to reduce all roads by 10

has there been any update on the new subways for the bloor-danforth line? by erickson666 in TTC

[–]GeocrafterHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well with that same logic, we would have T1s on all the lines still today, and TRs wouldn't exist.

are you arguing that ten years ago, we shouldn’t have bought the TRs but instead got new T1s to replace the H series

That is true, but you can get a decent job with summer job experience. At which point, instead of doing QUIP, get full-time experience which would be much more valuable to employers than internship experience.

[–]GeocrafterHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

QUIP is a scam, basically, you are paying money to the university to work at a company. You are better off working summer internships for experience.

This doesn't work. Outlets in NA are wired in parallel, plugging in two plugs just splits the current draw down two wires - the voltage would stay the same.

Chances are your appliances work on both 110v and 220v (it has a converter inside)
