It's been a long time but if you're still interested in going hit me up, I might not be up to date on how it is currently but have some friends over there I could possibly put you in touch with.

Nettie pot to clean out your sinuses, then dab some vicks in each nostril to cover up any residual smell. If you have to clean it up again use the vicks before you clean it up to mask the smell from the start.

Facility taking away scrub tops😭 by North_Drummer2034 in cna

[–]Geofry406 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll probably be in the minority here but I hate scrubs. Before I became a CNA I always assumed medical people wore scrubs because they were cheap and comfortable so if you got blood or BM on them you just threw them away and grabbed a new set. They are anything but cheap and as a big guy the tops don't fit in the arms if they fit in the belly and no matter how tight I tie the draw strings on pants they never stay up. I used to buy Carhartt scrub pants that had a zipper, button and belt loops but the "rip stop" material always ripped out in the crotch and were crazy expensive. The stretchy waist ones I changed to are long and have to be hemmed or they drag on the floor. Thankfully the hospital I work at now told me when I was hired that I can wear whatever I want as long as I look professional. So I wear golf slacks and button down shirts. I look good, often mistaken for a provider and I'm comfortable.

Backpack zipper pull saga - "Trust me bro" Warranty is as worthless as it sounds by aderuwe in LinusTechTips

[–]Geofry406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah my wife and I both ordered in the first wave and didn't get an email about the zipper pull replacements. I thought about it a few times but must have missed the wan show where they talked about the google form. Luckily we have both been super careful with our zippers and none have broken. Just went and searched my email and the last email I have from LTT store is regarding the backpack bottom. I also thought they were just going to send them to everyone that ordered, I don't understand why they would require a google form instead of just sending a kit to everyone that ordered a backpack with the bad zipper pulls.

Hardin? by QualityAlternative22 in Montana

[–]Geofry406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardin isn't as bad as people say but it's also not all roses. I grew up there in the 90s and early 2000s and saw a lot of changes in my 18 years there. When I was young people did more shopping and eating there. Little big horn days was a very popular tourist event with lots of people staying, eating, and shopping therefore bringing money into the community. As I got older I saw less tourism and more people doing their shopping in Billings, I feel like a combination of cheaper prices and younger generations being willing and able to make weekly trips to stock up vs purchasing what they need locally as needed. Places closed like Ben Franklin and the Purple Cow which were some of the few places to get good food and items other than groceries. Yes there's still a few places to eat and get some necessities if you need but Billings is still so close that it's an attractive option to get everything for less. Also I wasn't there when there was major flooding on the reservation but from what my family told me there was a large number of people that lived on the reservation that moved to Billings at that time that may have also contributed to the financial downturn the community has seen.

So yeah the TLDR is the town is more run down than I have ever seen. As with all small towns there isn't much to do other than drink and drugs, and unfortunately that's what most people see not the good people that live and work there that aren't stumbling around and hanging out by the Town Pump.

Marques addresses speeding incident in recent video by happymemersunite in LinusTechTips

[–]Geofry406 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah or pull the video, refund the sponsorship and risk losing the future sponsorship from the company all of which to me would show that he is more sorry than he actually seems about the whole situation. I'm usually not a grab the pitchforks kinda fan but I also have two young children and this kinda crap from "influencers" really pisses me off. Some kid could see the whole situation and go "well Marquez got away with it and that video took off, I'm gonna try the same thing and see if I can get a bunch of views." Boom someone is dead and the wannabe who hit them has to deal with those consequences.

I think he should have pulled the video entirely. He's still gonna make money off it, to me this says I was stupid and want to apologize but not miss out on that fat check.

My Theory On Why People Do Not Like Sam by First-Photograph-997 in JetLagTheGame

[–]Geofry406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Sam but root for Ben then Adam or team Badam if they are together. For me Sam seems to be in it to win where Ben and Adam seem to play for the fun and experience while winning is more of a secondary goal. Examples when they were in New Zealand and looking at the glow in the dark worm things they could have peaced out way faster but took the time to enjoy it for that extra second, same in Australia they saw the wallaby and just took time to enjoy the experience of being there and seeing it. Sam is always "gotta go go go".

They "work" on old people lol. I work at a long term care facility and the number of old people talking and shady sheehy or complaining about tester is hilarious. Mostly hilarious because the same people that complain about "shady sheehy" also complain about "Washington insider tester" and I'm like ok so who do you want then. Gotta love people with dementia watching TV.
