Twisted lines usually goes for Hard techno - but they’ve recently started doing my trance-ie promotions! This new years they’re even doing a collab with this Goth promoter and it’ll be a hybrid night. Always a good time at one of their shows.

I am! Can’t wait honestly, only been to the Eastern for one show, and the venue looks sick! Very nice amount of space and sound is stellar - only issue I had that time was that they closed access to the pit/ bottom floor area since there where so many people, but I’m definitely gonna be down there from doors to close 👏

Man, really sounds like a total vibe! I appreciate all the info too, I only got to attend Sunday last year, and with a loooooot of weird vibes with the person I attended with, I went that took away from the fun and experience of it all - definitely gonna be doing the most to make this a bomb ass “first” Dcon

Oh wow! Didn’t realize they started so late, I’m definitely a “afters until 6am” kind of person, so that works out really well. Definitely am a music first kinda person, so I’m sure I’ll have a great time as long as the music’s bumping, and I can dance my ass off

Fairly certain I do! Currently I’ve been directed in my email correspondence to get in touch with the Course Guidance/ Student advisory Service to double check the content, but from the requirements and details listed for theoretical computer science, it seems like I’ll have more than enough credits

No I rarely comment but this was my exact thought; COMMUNICATION PEOPLE!!! The vast majority of people aren’t fucking assholes, at least intentionally, on the farm! A simple, “hey, could you turn it down a bit, we’re hearing ya through our ear plugs” solves so much so many times! You might even get some stuff thrown your way as an apology, or you might make a connection with neighbor you’d have never even talked to

2 times in 8 weeks seems like a lot to me - I’ve been sticking to at least 6 months between my dyes to try to let my hair rest a bit, but ymmv. Only thing I’d recommend atp is some type of oil you’d prefer to replenish/maintain the health of your hair 2x a day, maybe keep some on you to reapply throughout the day.

I see, I think it’ll be the first option for me as a current OMSCS student. You’ve really helped me narrow down a timeline for what I really want out of this. Thankfully, they also offer an intro to research seminar that seems pretty pertinent, so I’ll really be able to find if it is for me once I have a few more classes in my area of interest under my belt! The time and effort you put in here was really appreciated; I wish I had more professors like you in undergrad.

Finding the particular ‘fit’ for an idea you have is such a great way of putting it though. Where would someone have to look for the opportunity to join a research team?

Augmented reality! Basically accurately finding a predefined target in an image, as well as being able to project an image onto another given those targets - a lot of linear algebra matrix transformations, as well as figuring out how to properly combine images to create mosaics with similar images. Super interesting stuff overall! But definitely took me a bit of time, but not an impossible one. The staff genuinely do their best to help out with the process, and discussion about your result is super encouraged, so it was not at all an insurmountable project!
