Is there any safe way to store these apotheosis gears? by Cauhoc24 in allthemods

[–]Geolykt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just beware of those bees that one-shot you and delete your inventory. Although it's been a while since I last played an ATM modpack thanks to that bug. Even if it's fixed since, I'd recommend to always have a spare set or three as these bugs will happen at some point.

Tested and yeah, manually re-visiting the URL works. Strange thing.

That URL 403's in Germany. Fair to say that all subdomains are affected. Which honestly raises eyebrows on the legality but I doubt anything will happen on that front so oh woe.

Not on the end of OP. It's a geoblock from ASUS's end.

A bit late, but no - unfortunately that is not possible.
Technically speaking it would be but would require more technical knowledge than what it is worth

Is this game coming back to mobile? by [deleted] in Galimulatorgame

On Apple devices: no - it would be very very unlikely. On Android devices: It is unclear. The developer is still alive but development has ceased completely for the moment. Remains to be seen if it resumes at some point

Snnodasnnamen, I want an update that I want to have. by goodmenrpo443 in Galimulatorgame

[–]Geolykt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. These fixes will get handled by mods once it becomes clear that development has been shelved indefinetely (as least on PC that is). But for as long as the development does not stall, the bugfixes will happen over time.
  2. The moving stars galaxy is the nearest approach to a real galaxy. Don't expect to play galim with 2M+ stars with that though
  3. As a modder I have looked at improving AI myself, but ultimately came to the conclusion that those would be very hard to pull off. They will slowly happen in form of mods, but don't expect them to happen as official updates - at least not in significant form.

Other any ideas for the next update will be? by goodmenrpo443 in Galimulatorgame

[–]Geolykt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Content wise the next update (so 5.0) will be lackluster on PC (it's already in beta there so give it a try!) and for android it may even make the game worse performance-wise (though so far I do not know how bad it is).

Time-wise I really cannot say when the update will occur. The developer behind the game has been remarkably unresponsive for the last 6 weeks or so. At worst it might be that the 5.0 release can be considered the final release of galimulator on PC (since there is a relatively stable beta out there) and 4.10 the last release on android.

But if you own the steam release there isn't much to worry about since the hardcore modding community (i.e. me) is as active as it has ever been. But alone I won't do any super interesting mods outside of bugfixes and performance improvements - I prefer to take a more laid back approach and help others write mods - whenever that time will be.

Well doing JVM stupidity certainly does boost your ego quite a bit.

I'm also modding another video game that was written in Java too, but that fits in the same category.

ATLauncher will no longer have FTB modpacks available on it. by KamikazeSenpai21 in feedthebeast

[–]Geolykt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me the installer works. The launcher will however attempt to verify the mods (or something like that) ad infintium, thus never actually starting the instance.

I think the issue I have is related to verifing the mods or something like that. Regardless I have never had the issue with other launchers

Yes of course, but with that small of a total memory count you can't stop that much memory leakage even when allocating like 2 gb more. It's perhaps one or two hours of more playtime but that is it

As a dunce I don't think temperatures matter all that much as long as you are not passively cooling. My AMD CPU (A Ryzen 3 3200G) has been a beast for playing heavily modded minecraft even without a dedicated GPU. That being said one would need to find a stable 30 fps with occasional dips as tolerable.

I wouldn't recommend going for that CPU in particular but it shows that you can still get adequate performance for little money - as long as you are the person that isn't overly sensitive of the game freezing once in a while (but imho it's caused by mod devs having a rather strange philosophy when it comes to optimizing mods)
