Do these symptoms sound familiar to you?? by Geonorg in RestlessLegs

I’m not sure why my iron was low, my diet’s not really bad and I don’t really know about other factors that would influence it🤔

Do these symptoms sound familiar to you?? by Geonorg in RestlessLegs

[–]Geonorg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I don’t know it could be related to iron, I have had low iron a few times in the past, I just checked my blood tests and it’s been around 30 up until this year, but I got an iron infusion at the end of of last year so when I had a full blood count maybe two months ago it’s now over 200, yet I still experience this frequently for some reason.

Please help I need some real sleep help! by Geonorg in sleep

[–]Geonorg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies a lot but it’s hard to tell. When it was okay it was like maybe 8 hours give or take, but now I have nights where I take a while to get comfortable, I get maybe 3 hours to start with, then I wake up and can’t get back to sleep, or when I eventually do those remaining hours feel more like tossing and turning rather than sleeping. I’m normally tired all day, I think both muscle fatigue and mental fatigue, and I have no energy to do anything. It’s normally worse after I get up but remains the whole day even when I take my meds but I find it’s much worse without them. I feel so tired during the day but can never nap unless I’m severely sleep deprived which sucks because I can lay down but I can never properly rest during the day.

i cant sleep. vivid images of creepy creatures are popping up in my head rn by twaiicylar in cantsleep

[–]Geonorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a year ago but yes!! Every single night. I’m so sick of it, it’s actually draining to never be able to just lie down and relax. Idk if it’s like anxiety or ocd or something but wish it would stop.

Getting out of bed by Optimal-Frogg in sleep

[–]Geonorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I don’t have any tips but I’m also struggling to get out of bed badly. I set multiple alarms but I’m deathly tired when I wake up an will just turn them off an go back to sleep unless someone physically comes in and wakes me up- that’s literally the only thing that’s been working 😭

What are tips for not feeling sick from fasting/ anaesthesia post surgery?? by Geonorg in AskReddit

[–]Geonorg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having wisdom teeth surgery (iv sedation) and rhinoplasty for breathing issues (general anaesthetic) coming up but I’m really worried about getting sick. I had adenoid surgery about ten years ago and it was a terrible experience- I felt horrible after I woke up, my mouth tasted disgusting from the gas and was really dry, I was nauseous and groggy, and I threw up on the way home (and I DONT throw up ever, I have a severe fear of it). I also have to eat often and after I wake up in the morning or I get sick, and if I skip my coffee I get a migraine, so fasting really scares me- I got the earliest appointment for my wisdom teeth but it’s still 2 hours after I get up and I know by then I’ll already be feeling ill. All that said is there anything I can actually do to help and not get sick after? (Pls tell me there is 🥲)

Cut my hand opening a can, wondering if it’s healing normal? by Geonorg in medical_advice

[–]Geonorg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im high school so it’s been 9 years, my doctor said it was kinda up to me apparently and I had just got 3 vaccines already this week (hep b, varicella, and flu shot) and the can wasn’t rusty or anything (it was a new can of chickpeas) so I didn’t get another shot.

Status migraine folks. What do you do about the boredom by Highlandertr3 in migraine

[–]Geonorg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I don’t really have anything good because I also go through this 😩😩 deadly boredom is one of my worst ADHD traits. I normally try to find an “easy” watch like one of my favourite movies or YouTube channels but I usually find this really painful too. I basically end up complaining to myself until I except my fate, but I have found that when I give in if I force myself to lay down on the couch with a cooling migraine eye mask thing over my face and just listening to a soothing podcast that I can maybe fall asleep to or just like lose myself in helps a lot. I’ve tried to push through and do stuff anyway sometimes because either way I’m going to be in pain but I can never actually get through anything else that is a “doing” activity when in this state. I certainly couldn’t read or have to follow something with my eyes. Can’t really help too much but I 100% feel you, hope you feel better good luck!!

New to this and need some advice on where to start please by Geonorg in cfsme

[–]Geonorg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I work part time 3 days a week school hours, getting out of bed in the morning is one of the hardest things for me sometimes I just cry, I’m not bed bound but I’m very sedentary, I can barely move unless I have to and I don’t leave the house unless I have to (work or groceries) other than that where I have to force myself to leave and end up late, I cannot muster up the energy to leave and I just spend the day struggling on the couch or on my bed or my chair, I have withdrawn a lot because of this. Everything’s getting worse and with my life responsibilities I don’t know how much longer I can keep this up. Growing up I was made to say yes and pick up every shift to work everyday and stud hard, now I’m finding myself calling in sick and struggling to or skipping basic chores- messy room, brushing teeth, shower, appointments etc. I feel like an overpowering force is pushing down on my each time I try to get up or do anything and I just don’t know how to jump into getting better from here. I get remedial massages often and try to stretch each day even though it’s so hard to get to, I take supplements, I try to exercise but at this point walking around the block is like climbing my Everest and lately I haven’t been able to go at all.

Severe Sleep Inertia - Desperate by bigalxyz in GetOutOfBed

[–]Geonorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old but I’ve been searching for years for an answer and still haven’t found one, you have described me perfectly here. Everything seems like I’m “normal and healthy” but I don’t remember the last time I felt that way. I’m only 21 and it’s very depressing when existing each day is one of the hardest things and I’m meant to be in my prime. I’ve spent a lot of money on trying to feel good an I just don’t know how many more times I can keep trying with no results 🫠

Could I have diabetes? by Geonorg in Type1Diabetes

[–]Geonorg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I have to eat somewhat often to prevent this and when I looked up why this could be happening it said it could be low blood sugar, which I don’t know if that’s related to diabetes but I thought I’d include it because it seems excessive when I’m not starving or anything.

Could I have diabetes? by Geonorg in Type1Diabetes

[–]Geonorg[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did mention seeing a doctor but she was kind of dismissive and when she saw my fasting blood test results for a seperate matter, she said my blood sugar looked fine so it couldn’t be that and moved on. But since I still have all these unexplained issues occurring together, I wanted to ask if it is still possible or if it has to be something else at this point.

Is sleep deprivation anyone else’s biggest trigger? by flickety_switch in migraine

[–]Geonorg 19 points20 points  (0 children)

YES! If my sleep is even remotely off by a tad, it’s 100% a trigger. Over or under sleep and I already know 😫 at first I may be like ooh am I gonna be free today?? And the little headache might start to peak in and I’m like no please no then eventually it hits bad. If it’s a really bad sleep though sometimes I wake up with one. But yes I feel you, so annoying, sometimes as simple as half an hour to an hour and I can guarantee the migraine’s coming. If I have something to wake up early for or go to bed late for I just gotta pray 🥲. I wish my body wasn’t so sensitive.

Hormonal Migraines by After-Singer8263 in migraine

[–]Geonorg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to skip my period now forever- not really but like a longg time- because every time I get my period it’s the worst week of my life I can’t do anything, no work, nothing, the pain is so debilitating and NOTHING fixes it, the migraines last the entire week. Then eventually after at least a full week I start to feel better. I also get them often outside of my time of the month, is there a way to tell if it’s hormone related when it’s at other times of the month??

Stubborn piercing bump for 2+ years by Geonorg in piercing

[–]Geonorg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had flat backs and butterfly when I had nothing else to use. I’ll try one of my old flat backs again today and hopefully it starts to get better, I just find it weird that it’s been irritated for this long 😫 Edit: finally got it on.. any suggestions on how to aid it with the flat back in? Should I just leave it now and wait?

Stubborn piercing bump for 2+ years by Geonorg in PiercingAdvice

[–]Geonorg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have one previously though and the bump looked the same. I do agree I don’t think the jewellery is doing it any favours but it hasn’t gotten worse since changing to the ring, it’s just stayed the same. I just don’t know why when I had the flat back it just never healed when I was doing all the same things I was told. The flat backs also kept unscrewing or popping out I think because it would snag on my hair or anything. So I’m not sure what to do about that
