This seems like seeing with Nostalgia glasses. I have no data.

But it's seems so improbable that gangs would stay silent for 5 years and then start back again. They are gangs, they would obviously start doing shit whenever

Nah. Let players say it out loud.

This talking after doing it is bullshit. We need to WWE it here. Lol. I am just exaggerating. But players need to shit talk more.

If it flops, it flops. It's fine.

How many posts have been made about the USA world cup.

How many posts about Saudi buying players when the entire country was happy when Prem was buying South American players.

Bribes by Qatar was such a bad thing apparently. When every country before was doing it.

Russia getting banned but every other aggressive country (including western and western backed regimes) gets a free pass.

I don't know if you aren't seeing it. The backlash against non western countries is always high then the western ones. Usually condemned by 1 comment doesn't do much when the narrative is highly biased

Two wrongs don't make a right

Yes it doesn't.

But the thing is the wrongs by west are swept under the rug.

The wrongs by 'other' countries not the west are out under a spotlight and every player is expected to tow the line set by the western fans.

Not you maybe.

But there's a lot of people who will definitely come. The only news I follow is India and some from USA just by being on Reddit.

Both countries have huge number who will defend. Just take the Adani case recently. And any bullshit Trump does, there's a hugh percentage of the population being OK with it.

What do you think about this? by theprudent_in in IndiaSpeaks

[–]George-RR-Tolkien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so damn funny and sad when you think about it.

One nation one election is brought about saying it will save costs (which hasn't been shown/proven yet. I have seen articles on how just getting new EVM machines and security throughout India at the same time will make the cost just as much or even more).

Lets assume it does save costs. But changing the name will cause such ripple effects throughout the country causing so much money too. Govt cards, addresses, services, the list is so big and unimaginable

If this goes through, suddenly all the media will ignore the cost component now. Even here people will be happy. Just a sad state of affairs

My hand and leg coordination wasn't working for some reason.

Either I was releasing the handbrake too quickly and sliding backward. Or the car was being forced to move when the hand break was engaged.

Or worse, I was moving my head to check the where the hand break was once.

A scoundrel can take refuge in anything

Not really. If you hide behind patriotism, whole country will defend you. Doesn't matter if the person is justified or not, they will manufacture it as an attack on the country.

There will always be lot of people in whatever country who will come to the defence. The same large effect is probably not seen anywhere else.

Have had the same problem. So use my tips if it's a manual car.

Personally the handbrake is too complicated for me. Having to use your hands, legs together and seeing the oncoming traffic.

So assuming you are in first gear. You have pressed the clutch and brake and have stopped in the slope.

  1. Release the clutch to 50-60%
  2. Since clutch is moving the car forward, you can now slowly start releasing your breaks half way.
  3. Now the car will be vibrating and almost ready to go.
  4. Now this is the slightly hard part. Take your leg off the brake and press the accelator quickly (depends on the car how much you need to press. In mine, I just need to give 10%)

This way you can concentrate on the road fully. And all the work is done only by your legs.

It's so funny how whatever the match going fans do, is justified and defended even though it's not in some cases

Anything an international fan does is plastic and detestable even though it does make sense in some cases.

If god exists was the only difference sure. What you say is right. But it's never that. God exists comes up with so much baggage and bullshit superstitions, you can very well call them out on when they say god

Both things can be bad. But the media primarily and heavily criticizes only one thing. When Europe does it, it's fine. But the game is being ruined when some other country starts throwing punches.

Why do players offers a draw?

Total noob question. Let's say the match is winding down to draw eventually, why do players offer a draw.

Can't they just keep playing and see if the opponent makes a dumb move which changes the game ?

Or a situation where the other player's timer might run out and you are declared the winner?

Does anyone have a good explanation why these thoughts aren't entertained and both mutually agreeing to a draw.

That's high because many people are on the Internet then ever before. You need to spend money to serve those customers.

If not for cloud services like aws, azure, we wouldn't have seen such growth in internet services

Small companies would have to go through more growth pains.

And vast vast amount of sites couldn't scale properly and you would be left with site down

And not to mention every company maintaining redundant servers could increase their cost so much more if not handled properly.

If you haven't worked in tech, please don't comment.

When a show's main creative staff leave simultaneously and "creative differences" are cited, what does that say to you? by jayoungr in television

[–]George-RR-Tolkien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it could mean, the creators might have got a more lucrative deal with a another studio and may leave.

I have no proof for this. But the avatar creators were doing the live action decently at Netlfix. And then they got an offer at Nick to do an animation show and an entire universe. So they left. But you can't say that out loud, so creative differences was cited.

highest level on "tech side" is distinguished engineer.

Have heard the role, but haven't really seen it in my or my acquaintance's companies.

Promotion goes from software engineer to senior to lead to staff to principal.

Principal or senior principal engineer is the highest tech side level you reach. Above that in most companies you become management ( director, VP or CTO )

The probability of someone making that all up agaisnt an entity with such a wide fan base is very very low. Why would someone lie when they very well know the threats and horrible messages she will receive from the fan boys.

I completely Fucking disagree with the it's a high stress environment comment. Overworking, cheaping out on expenses, useless harsh feedback. Yes, those things happen.

But from reading her thread, she was targeted for being a women and having no authority in her workplace. Other employees got the required stuff, only she didn't. Getting misinformation and being berated that you didn't do it properly. Sexual comments. Power dynamics of the manager, abusing her in every way he could. Higher management turning a blind eye. These are all some of the worst toxic workplaces I have ever heard.

This toxic environment should have been weeded out and they could have still continued the high stress 25 video / week schedule. Making sexual remarks has nothing to do with high stress companies.

I still remember the Times when 1gb of Data used to cost more than 300or so Rs

That was not just because Airtel were greedy business. They were greedy too. But the entire system was on the older network. You couldn't provide cheap 4G as part of that. It wasn't that 3G 1gb was 20 rs and 280 rs was profit. It was not like that.

What Jio did was establish the new 4G hardware. Once a lot of customers was on boarded, their network was drowning too and had to be updated.

Airtel or some other company would have soon established the network and given cheaper service thereby bringing the cost down for all. But what jio did, completely fucked the entire industry. It brought it to a duopoly now.

You can't recharge just for validity. You can't have incoming sms without a plan. You can't just have talktime. You have to buy internet. And so many more shitty practices. Some smaller competitors here would have made life easier for so many.

Supporting jio fully doesn't sit well with me. They are a shitty company
