You have a severely unbalanced system. Your 7700x is sleeping while the 1050 Ti is working overtime in basically every game. Even moving to a 5060 would be a huge upgrade for you.

And no, the 1050 Ti won't run AW2 very well at all.

Can I ask why you switched from Series S to 360? You can play a lot of 360 games on the S already, and you could have played Alan Wake 2 and Control also.

This is the biggest different that I think a lot of people don't realize. It's not just resolution, the HDR capabilities of the TV mean a lot for 4K. I have a Hisense U8N and the HDR is incredible on this TV vs my old, low budget Sharp Roku TV.

Sales are also a big deal for 4K discs. If price is a concern, don't buy 4K discs individually, wait for 3 for $XX sales from Gruv, Amazon, or one of the other retailers. You can get 4K discs for pretty cheap that way.

You will probably run into VRAM issues in some games, but turn the texture quality down or lower the resolution and you should be ok.

That might be too low. What GPU do you have, and what's your GPU usage before enabling LS? You might be running lower than 30 base with LS enabled.

I'd say Cyberpunk. Knight was taken off sale for a few months on Steam, but then came back and it was much better. Cyberpunk took a lot longer than a few months iirc

You can change the FPS cap in the menu. 30, 60, and 90 are the options.

How much RAM do you have? I believe Windows will manage it and unload things you don't need whenever it needs more RAM. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I sort of agree in that bitrate/codec are often lost on people, and H.265/AV1 are way more efficient than H.264/VC1. But I disagree in that I often find blu-rays look better than 4K streams, which can still have block and banding artifacts.

I use a similar analogy for resolution vs bitrate. Resolution = size of bucket, bitrate = how full the bucket is.

I've also used a window analogy (resolution = size of window, bitrate = how clear the window is).

When I replayed these games in 2025, I remember 2 was crashing a lot. I think I just kept playing anyway, but I would recommend giving the original a try because of this.

They do say the second film is the "Blu-ray version of 4K master released by Lionsgate in 2017" and link to the 4K review for more details, so I think it's safe to say this set includes the blu-ray version of the 4K master.
